$150.49 for a mtb short ? $2299.00 for two enve wheels ? Is that supposed to be a bargain ? f*ck MTB industry you already win enough money !! It's sad to see that mountainbiking in general is becoming 'more and more 'less' accessible' to the public,.... and to all the guys who don't get 5000$ per month... Angry rider here, AM I ALONE ??
These are the top tear items. What you are doing is comparable to complaining that Lamborghinis are too expensive! Chill out and get less expensive sh*t bro... I am surely far from buying any of there ultra expensive items, but there is nothing wrong with them being available!
I've owned a carbon Nomad, full xtr, haven carbon wheels etc etc. Expensive as f*ck. Didn't even really like it... I've owned a Shimano-SIS spec'd bike... And didn't like that one either.
What is comfortable for me to buy, maintain and ride, is something in the 2000-3000EUR price range.
With an average job, you should be able to get yourself a decent alu frame with some XT group or X9, a decent fork and some custom (your taste) cockpit and details. No need for ultra expensive parts, but it's nice to see them. I know for one how stupid i was to spend that much on a bike and I think that there are so many retards out there doing the same thing :p It's really not worth it. The fun, the base, lays at riding your bike.
I like having a bike I can afford to break. If I had a $10,000 carbon bike I wouldn't dare to even put it on the uplift. I drove a sh*t van for years and I pinned it everywhere- now I've got a reasonably expensive car I drive it like a girl. The same applies to bikes.
Every sport is like this. Every industry. I get down whistler on a cove g-spot from 2004 worth about 500-600$. You dont gotta spend thousands to have fun and thats obviously what its all about.
I own a $3000 26". I just demo'd a $7500 27.5". The 26" has Fox fork & shock (2011) and the 27.5 had 2014 Fox fork/shock. There is a noticeable difference in "plushness" and response but not as big a difference as I thought there would be, so I may not have to go above $4500 for my next bike. I don't think on my income I can justify the extra $3000. $4500 gets you more than enough for somebody who rides less than 150 miles a month, IMO.
Dear ENVE , I'm sorry but even 500$ discount doesn't make it worth!! how is it possible?! 2700$ its too much for a wheelset, even if they came from space... The only way to ride on your wheels is to be Sponsored by ENVE...
Yep those Eastons JUNK!!! I bought a set and now wish I put that $300 towards a real DH wheelset.... Just two local freerides and the rear wheel is SHOT..... I wouldn't buy those Easton Havocs for $150..... BUYER BEWARE....
Chill out and get less expensive sh*t bro...
