After a long winter in the Austrian Alps, the bike park tracks and trails are now open again. The famous “Hangman” and “Hangman 2” trails are certain to warm up the muscles after the winter season. The “Flying Gangster” will bring out the flow-rider in all of us and for the chargers, the UCI Downhill World Cup track, “Speedster” is as fast as ever. In fact, the downhill elite will take on the “speedster” track at the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup during the Out of Bounds Festival on June 13th and 14th. Bikepark Leogang is committed to guarantee a fun riding experience for riders of all levels and welcomes mountain bikers looking to improve their skills. The bike school “Elements Outdoorsports” offers a wide range of classes from Monday through Friday. If you book between May 14th and 17th you will receive a 10% discount on all workshops and training programs. The daily program starts with an early bird Sunrise Tour at 6 o’clock. From 9:30am the classes continue with a technical training suitable for kids, teenagers, individuals or groups.

If you are looking for a little bit of adventure in Austria’s wilderness, the “Trail safari” is the perfect trip for you. In small groups of six, riders will discover the most attractive mountain bike trails in Saalfelden. If you need assistance in choosing the right bike for rental or purchase, the Scott test center at “Sport Mitterer” is open and their staff is happy to offer expert advice.


Furthermore, bikers can enjoy Bikepark Leogangs newest “Gunzi” trail. This single-track trail is a combination of soft, loose ground, fast compact sections and forest lines. Also suitable for E-Bikes, the trail is ready and groomed to welcome all eager riders.

Located at the valley station, the German artist Julian Kirchner will also exhibit his photo series “Lichtzeichen” which highlights the regions’ stunning scenery at nighttime. Fitting to the motto of 2015’s UNESCO “light for change”, Julian captured moments combining mountain biking, Austrian tradition and elements of nature. The exhibition opens June 6th at 2pm.
