A new year, a new event! This spring, around sixty dirt jumpers will gather under the roof of the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle in Stuttgart as part of the Sparkassen MountainBike-Festival. Hall of Dirt will be the first official European dirt jump contest on the FMB World Tour calendar – taking place from 28 to 30 March 2014. Hidden away from the peculiar weather conditions effecting the glorious European spring, incredible action is guaranteed!

At the end of March the largest event hall in southern Germany will turn into a giant indoor playground. The stadium’s holy ground has already been visited by musical legends like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, now however the mountain bike stars will put on their best performance for the spectators. Expect to see the biggest names in dirt jumping will lay down their most spectacular tricks on four massive jumps. The course will be 120 meters long, with the dirtiest of dirt jumps giving riders loads of airtime, as they soar up to five meters high. The riders will drop in from the second level of the arena – right next to some of the potential 8,000 visitors. The banger dirt track and insane indoor atmosphere make Hall of Dirt a highly anticipated event for fans and media. Moreover, for the riders, it is a valuable opportunity to win some of the first FMB World Tour points of the season with the events’ official Silver status.

Attracting the top European dirt riders – irrespective of any weather issues – athletes will have three chances to win a trophy and a piece of the 12,000 Euro prize money: at the individual and team contests as well as at the Best Trick contest.

Some big names have already confirmed their participation at the Stuttgart spectacle. For the FMB World Tour 2013 overall champion, Sam Pilgrim (GBR), participation was a no brainer! His fellow Brit, Sam Reynolds (GBR) will also be rolling to Hall of Dirt. From Germany, Peter Henke and Amir Kabbani will be there to defend their home turf. The runner-up of the Red Bull Rampage 2012, Antoine Bizet will make his way from France for the contest and from Scandinavia, the 2013 shooting star, Anton Thelander will travel from Sweden for a chance to secure his first slice of glory in 2014.

Also new and already known talents have the opportunity to start at the prequalification of Hall of Dirt. They can send their application including a recent video of themselves and a short CV to hallofdirt@rasoulution.com by the end of February.

Beside Hall of Dirt there are also several cross-country competitions. A 450 meter cross-country track made from natural soil with various obstacles will be shaped next to the dirt course, as well as a 1,2 kilometer track outside the hall over the plateau and the stairs to the Benz street. But that's not it: the Sparkassen MountainBike-Festival offers a varied program of events, such as a mountain bike tour, a children's program, a pump track trail, a bike expo and an after-show party.
