It was an awesome premiere for the FMB World Tour Silver Event Hall of Dirt. Today, Saturday the Hall of Dirt Nations Cup and Best Trick Contest heat up the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle in Stuttgart, Germany. In sight of several thousands of spectators the best dirt jumpers threw down their favorite tricks. The winning crew of the team competition was Team France 1 aka Louis Reboul, Mehdi Gani and the joker Thomas Genon (BEL). Polish wunderkind Szymon Godziek pulled the Best Trick with his stunning backflip cliffhanger.
At the Hall of Dirt Nations Cup nine teams consisting of three riders took the chance and represented their country. Every crew dropped in one after the other as a train supported by the cheering crowd. At the end Team Canada 2 with Bobby Lamirande, Tom van Steenbergen and their joker Oscar Nagy (HUN) as well as Team France 1 ruled the first two rounds and competed head to head in the final round. Louis, Mehdi and Thomas impressed the judges with their tight runs and their opposite 360s at the last jump. The judges awarded them with a well-deserved victory score!
At the Best Trick contest the athletes electrified the atmosphere during their 45-minutes jam session. Mainly two shredders awed the crowd: young gun Matt Jones (GBR) and Mr. “Cashroll” Szymon Godziek. They made a lasting impression, reaching unbelievable heights as they boosted of the kickers. Matt Jones pulled a clean double backflip took the lead until. Szymon shocked the spectators and judges with a never seen before backflip cliffhanger and went home with 1.500 € prize money.
The actual FMB World Tour Silver Event is taking place tomorrow. Don’t miss the action when the best 12 riders compete in the finals and the best 6 in the superfinals. The contest will be broadcasted from 3:30 pm (CET) / 6.30am (PST) live here on Pinkbike.

mike has done so many flip variations, but unlike most riders who make a big deal about it, he just does them and keeps it to himself. the dudes an animal but to him, he's just messing around and having fun.
I wish his contest riding could show half of what he's capable of and does in his off time.

MM has not only the ultimate mix of tricks, flip var's or otherwise, but he's got the most killer moto style to go with 'em. I'd like to see more of him & more of him winning.
