Kenny Smith, Robbie Bourdon, Thomas Genon, and Yannick Granieri join Semenuk as they resurrect a section from NWD 10 with the help of Intern despite being a bit preoccupied. The dirt in the Retallack resort helps form some of the best single track trails that the boys have ridden.
vernonjeff- it's not an advertisement for Retallack, use google. These guys obviously have special privileges because they help bring it exposure but it'd be like any other mtb version of a cat/heli skiing operation. You stay right on the mountain and get shuttled (possibly heli biking, although not 100% on that) up to the trails while having meals provided for you while basically having the mountain to yourself. It's a private trail system that you only have to share with the few other people who are on the same trip as you. Bike-in, bike-out. If I had the money, I'd go there as much as possible. Ever since they started mtbing, I've always had that place on the bucket list. GO! lolz
I get that same feel - sure, there is some ok moments, but I'm really more looking forward for the movie. And I'll rather have a mediocre season than tons of spoilers for a movie.
I'm not a 100% sure but I think they will have season 3 or part 2 of season 2 after Christmas sometime because every redbull show has done this so far, just ending part way through the season.
I'm gonna get slashed for writing this but I'm getting a bit tired of those boys saying things like "It's so nice to get away from civilization" and this place is "so out there" when they're basically turning an untouched piece of nature into a man-made amusement park using heavy machinery. Also, they'd probably get pretty nervous when they don't have cell-phone reception and when their ipods run out of battery. Not hating, just point out the obvious...
Have you looked on a map where Retallack is? It's out there.
I hope you realize the hypocrisy of complaining about 'turning an untouched piece of nature into a man made amusement park' which basically describes every mountain bike trail ever. Like burnbern said, it's a cat skiing lodge and definitely not untouched.
That has got to be by far the best "Life Behind Bars" episode so far. It seems like none of the previous episodes have had as much riding like this one. I'm not a huge dirt jump fan but the dirt jumps up in the mountains was pretty sick
Love Granieri like. ''What the f*ck is Rettalack?'' hahaha! It's pretty cool seeing all the guys there, shite about Kenny Smith though, seen he was in this and I instantly knew he would be sending everything so it's shit to see him crash haha...
How could you be disappointed with a add that features Zinc, Aggy, Genon, Granieri and more. If it's just a add, it's the best one ever. How could you even say that, I'm baffled. Some of the best riders in the world just gave you a glimpse into their life. What is it? because they were they not riding 29ers? P.S. I implied something about you with the 29" comment.
1) Kenny Smith! 2) Who is that guy in the quick shots with the camera when they're talking about filming for the movie? Stood next to that dude for a while at Rampage, and his face looks mad familiar. Couldn't put a name on it though.
Good on you Semenuk, for doing something about all the lame ass "what mountain biking means to me" bullshit that's been trending so much in recent years.
One time I got my shirt caught on my bar like Genon did, but I was just riding down the street & fell flat on my face in front of people who could see what a dummy I must be. Genon was doing a huge dirt to dirt truck & rode away clean. Difference between the men & the boys people.
Some of us got the gold-fever:
