Canada's Whistler Mountain Bike Park once again provides the perfect amphitheatre for the staging of the world's best slopestyle contest. Drawing the biggest crowds of any freeride competition, the pressure to perform at the Boneyard is greater than anywhere else in the world. Join Ryan "R-Dog" Howard, Justin Wyper, and Dustin Gilding as they take you on 360° preview of the 2016 Red Bull Joyride course.
Maybe try watching it from youtube through a computer www.youtube.com/watch?v=neGINWXASV8 , not in the PB window. Also, it's 4k and a short vid, it might take a while to load a full res. I watched from my computer on youtube and it's freakin' awesome. Perfect quality and you can turn 360 using the mouse or touchscreen. Being able to change the view mid-jump really helps get an idea of how high (no, not that high) these guys are!
Now can they please preview the course with a normal camera, that 360 what ever the hell it was was shit, the course looks totally different this year.
Everyone shits on the 360 view but I think it is next level. Interactive and if you compare with standard gopro where you often loose the ride upfront, here you can always follow properly the action ! Sick !
Probably best use of this technology is that if you can get the camera during editing to lock in on the rider in front of you, then you NEVER have to worry about whether your GoPro is pointed up or down, because it will capture everything from wheel to sky.
Lock in the program on the other rider's helmet and the post production video edit will be smooth as glass and you'll actually get to see what the heck the rider is riding instead of their fists or the sky.
Man, just having seen all the landers still in place back in September, it was just blowing my mind that anyone would land a trick down the back side of those monsters. You just can't imagine how big they are until you're riding BETWEEN them...and just trying to get your bike to backside the family cross stuff in between.
Then the only pro on the mountain that week was Danny Hart(Interbike weekend), so you have no rider reference until Tuesday Semenuk shows up, airs to flat out of the exit of Canadian Open and lands like a feather...and then you understand.
I love this course, perfect beauty bikes, smooth riders, n` the best --perfect night--, by the way, I think, The Perseids Meteor Shower at the end of video, this year is more special, waooooo, bellísimo.
That was horrible to watch. No more of that. No more scribd. No more redbull low resolution videos... Can we just get back to normal videos and content please?
"What?"
" Oh sorry I was thinking about the chances of me ever hitting anything on a bike that actually looks big on Gopro."

Pure and absolute respect.
