After a long and spectacular season on the FMB World Tour, the invite list for Red Bull Rampage, the world’s toughest freeride MTB event, has been set. Pre-qualified athletes like defending champ Andreu Lacondeguy, two-time champ Kyle Strait and regular contender for best trick Cameron Zink will come back to face a long list of athletes looking to become king of the mountain. FMB World Tour athletes that weren't previously qualified for Red Bull Rampage but were invited include Canadians Anthony Messere and Logan Peat and yearly contenders Thomas Genon and Yannick Granieri.

@redbullbike
btw it says tickets are up for sale again but the official site says nothing about this.
This douche got 2 tickets and is only asking $195 each. Feel free to contact him with your thoughts.
Meanwhile actual freeride enthusiasts couldn't get tickets. My buddy was trying to take his son, nephew, and brother, but tools like this are snatching up tickets for profit...
Who is jaws?
Cams commentary brings legitimacy to that aspect of the event, whereas in the past it has been left to loudmouth blowhards who would antagonize the spectators with idiotic terms like "shut the front doooor!" To go along with their inability to describe the tricks and manoeuvres being performed because they were never involved in the sport themselves. So in that regard it's very unselfish of cam to provide colour commentary for us, and I hope he gets paid well for it.

And alas, he did not make top 20 last year, and the video you tagged shows him riding groomed and some pre built jumps; far from the original Big Mountain riding rampage is. He's a bmx rider at heart; you can tell by his "huck as much as possible" style. If he pulls a cashroll at the very bottom and gets a podium finish from it, I'd honestly stop watching rampage each year. He is just way too out of his element to even be a contender
Tyler should have podium already. I really hope he gets his due and walks out of there with a medal this year. The dude is a flat out big mountain beast. Carries killer speed. Builds really cool lines. Throws a variety of tricks. Goes for the biggest "natural" drops. Etc.
So yeah... I'll be pulling for my local dudes. Tyler and R-dog. I'm sure Ryan will be dropping some super fast super flowy stuff... and probably a massive massive whip.
I'm also really looking forward to seeing what Rogatkin brings to the table off the sender and the big cap. He's the dude that I think is the most likely to give Cam Zink a run for his money for the...woah that dudes got huge balls trick of the event.
And of course... looking forward to Zink. Dude always has something bonkers planned.
Strait is always so smooth and clean that he is always a threat to podium and/or win.
USA man... we have some good representative this year!
thErion, seriously?

I think most elite athletes put there body through enough physical endurance to warrant any serious injury,
ONLY JOKING YOU ONLY GET SERIOUS INJURIES IF THE SPORT YOU'RE PARTICIPATING IN HAS FULL FACE HELMETS. BECAUSE XTREMENESS.
