Sorge won. He had the biggest hit, he tricked from top to bottom and was fast. Zink should have been moved up two spots. That put Semenuk even further down the list. It's clear, Rampage is a Big Mountain event, not a Slopestyle event. I like it that way, others don't. Maybe it's time to rethink the format and let the riders know, we don't really care about you trick combos... nut up and GO BIG! Hit up YouTube and watch past runs... Other than 2008, it's all about going BIG.

@mattradical how did Brandon not go big? Just because he threw tricks doesn't mean he didn't go big. The two are not mutually exclusive in any way. The top of Brandon's run was some of the most technical terrain ridden.

He went big, but 5 other guys went bigger. Sorge's 1st drop was bigger than Semenuk's, then the hip was the best amplitude of the day, then the biggest drop followed by a super big RZR w/trick. I don't really care who finished where. I think the bitching takes the shine off the greatest Freeride event ever. Love to all the riders. I just happen to agree with the judges.

Semenuk's line went pretty much right next to Sorge's except oddly enough stayed OFF the ridge. The jumps were like 5 feet shorter lip to lip.

I agree, but I also know it's hard as f*ck to maneuver big bikes especially when you just got G'd out on a massive lip and you only have 2-4 seconds to get your trick out and then back to a fast and (possibly) hard landing.

But that's what is so incredible about semen us run. His jumps were huge as well, and he out solid tricks in

Semenuk went huge, and because his level of bike control is head and shoulders above anyone else he easily threw in some style and tricks. No disrespect to Sorge - his run was great - but he didn't deserve 1st place; the run was 3rd place material at best. Would even rate Reynolds over Sorge because at least he stood out.

This whole thing reminds me of the rigged GoPro comp where Kurt Sorge robbed a bunch of other more deserving riders of the prize. No apologies from him or anything, he's just laughing all the way to the bank.

Binggeli's line was really interesting, it looked like he was stitching together features from a bunch on lines and he made them all work well. And Metailler's speed put him into a league of his own. That was just nuts. Apparently speed doesn't factor into the total score though. Didn't see that coming.
