Holy cow! That was awesome, it was like watching Keith lemon shredding in some weird Miami vice meets GTA meets lords of dogtown epic. #skymagsinafreezer
And thats how it all started. Great memories from the 80s.....I had a red ink in chrome team mongoose with all components in red. What a cool bike. (I still have my magnesium motomags in the 20in) Great video Cheers
This vid was done very well. I have the original BMX Bandits dvd if anyone's interested. $10 plus shipping. Be warned, the riding in the original is what's to be expected from that era, lol.
Man, I felt like I was 10 again. The 80's were sick... I think this movie was my biggest inspiration to ride as a kid.
This is so damn perfect... I wonder why nobody came up with this earlier.
Totally in love with this clip!
That was awesome. Such slick 80s style production, and pretty accurate till they hi the dirt jumps. I was waiting for them to jump over the cab of the flatbed van though which never happened...
And where do you get those mag wheeled bmx's nowadays?
awesome and pretty spot on in recreating the 80's - I feel sad .. and happy to say that i was there, watching BMX bandits in the cinema, lusting over MAG wheels with face masks and hideous looking BMX clothes (well, at least TLD is keeping that fashion alive .. lol .. sorry TLD fans)
After this i looked up BMX bandits on you tube - damn it was bad, and the over dubs on the guys voices .. so naff, as well as a scene where Nicole Kidman is showing her "skills" and the 2 guys are almost drooling and licking their lips - lol
good fun - for all those who were there in the 80's, classic and retro BMX is alive and well with many people building up old bikes for NOS and they are just awesome
Best Aussie film ever that was. Wore out multiple VHS versions of it. Better than Mad Max. Should have had Caroline Buchanan dressed up as Nicole destroying everyone as usual.
Made me feel 20 again, I do relish those as some good times when I was a teen riding a top plate for redline in the ABA and then the NBA bmx state series, semis and nationals.
I was never cool enough or skilled enough to be into that scene when I was a kid but I still liked bikes and dirt and freestyle...
1) At 1:45 the missed high five into the lead up for the epic...epic...epic...look back. I love "suspended motion" tricks, and that was a way solid look back.
2) Stellar soundtrack.
3) @nert...sorry, but the high five referenced above is a missed nuance without the quality slo-mo.
4) I know some solid card-carrying gingers but I think Leanna Curtis is their president.
