Yessssss!!! This is brilliant.
Joe is such an inspiration to me personally. No one seems to have more fun than the Dudes of Hazard crew, eating cereal, traveling on the landship jumping into water holes, drifting scooters, and all.
GOOD TIMES!
I agree. Chris and Joe are probably my two favorite riders because they're both so enthusiastic about biking and don't get too caught up in the hype. This vid was a bit serious... good stuff though!
^^ haha, I loved the part where they showed both of their styles in handling the steep/tech switch back section, about a third of the way in. really entertaining riding but as usual, I just skipped over all the talking. Regardless of the edit, only interested in the rippage which there was plenty of here. Looser than a 12-year-old boy at Penn State.
For me as well, both of these riders are surely among my favourites. However, I CAN'T WATCH THAT VIDEO WITHOUT HEADACHES. I'm racing enduro myself, but I would NEVER ride an alpine trail with my rear brake blocked all the way. Yes, it's a fast way to clear steep turns and definitely right on races, home tracks, trailcenters, etc. but you can really see the destruction it does to the trail. It's already a HUGE issue in the Alps and if people copy that style, I can see even more trouble ahead of us.
If you're riding in Alpine regions, where trail erosion is an issue, you shouldn't count the seconds. Rather check if you can also clear the really tricky and steep "stupid lines" etc. . That's why you'll see all these "stoppie turns" - to avoid skidding all the way through turns, e.g. here: www.pinkbike.com/news/Johannes-Pistrol-mountain-riding-insane-video-2014.html
It's one of my favorite Trails, and yes it is steep... but the only ridiculous thing is their speed - wtf? there are some cornes where you can win a long flight....
thats the problem with all camera's. people always see videos of where i ride and are like "that looks easy" then i bring them to the trail and they're like "nevermind" haha
I have heard this is a sweet place to ride. The video could have been named: How to skid. On steep trails its going to happen. Still lets keep skidding to a minimum if we can . OK?
Yeah, cause a trail like that is super sustainable. North shore traffic would turn it into a 2' deep shit chute in half a season. Should probably run some motos up it too.
The scenery looks absolutely amazing, but I'm sorry, the trail itself doesn't look that great. To much gravel and sliding....not enough flow...good for developing some technical skills though.
f*ck styro MTB helmets are so f*ckin' goofed. Funny how everyone rips Rogatkid but no one ever says shit about how f*ckin' goofed out those overpriced disposable styro lids are. :s

Dear industry, if only for him: Keep 26" alive!
Looks great there too though!
