UCI Clarifies Rule on Unsanctioned Races
This is purely a strong arm tactic to expand UCI/USAC. UCI/USAC is leveraging pro riders against local event promoters by threatening promoters to become a UCI/USAC sanctioned event or else the pros won't show up. In essence, they want everything to be a sanctioned event. That means more money for them at the expense of eliminating grassroots, local events.

American Classic MTB Race 29 Tubeless Wheelset
I own a pair of these, they are on my xc RACE bike, and they are awesome - for racing. They are designed to be light for xc racing purposes, hence the name MTB RACE. They are not a AM wheel, so to compare the two doesn't make sense. Of course these are going to less rigid that a AM wheel. They are also going to be less rigid than Mavic Deemax.

2011 Trek Scratch, Mavic Crossmax SX, Fox Talas 180MM

$2900 USD
2011 Trek Scratch, pristine condition. Size Medium. Weighs 31 pounds and some change, crazy light for a 180mm travel bike. I built it to be an all-mountain bike, it climbs great and descends incredibly. Just dumped a ton cash into it. Highlights include 2011 Mavic Crossmax SX wheelset, 2012 Fox 36 Talas with 180MM of travel and KASHIMA (amazing), 2012 Fox DHX 5.0 AIR, RWC needle bearings for the rear shock (adds an amazing amount of responsiveness in the rear end), 2012 Avid Codes, 2012 Shimano XT rear derailleur with clutch, Sunline handle bars. Tire include Kenda Nevegal front, 2.5 sticky, tubeless set up, and Bontrager X4 rear, Team Issue, rear. Tons of life left. Will include an extra set of these two tires. All these upgrades have about 5 rides on them, if that. I've ridden the bike for about 6 months, saw little use. It's is excellent condition. Questions, shoot em over. Thanks
