Chunder Dome Gallery: NW Cup Presented by Gravity by ridegravity

Last weekend was the official start to the Northwest Cup DH Race Series in Washington. The first race took place at legendary Dry Hill on the Olympic Peninsula in Port Angeles. Title Sponsor Gravity Components's Pro DH Team had a great presence at the race with all 5 of their Pro Down Hill Riders in attendance for the event, amongst a very strong Pro Category including some of the US and Canada's top riders.

Kyle Thomas took 8th Place overall and had a super clean run.

Charlie Sponsel did his best Tony the Tiger kit impression and was around all weekend to provide comic relief in between laps.

Gravity's Seattle based Hucker Lucas Chalcroft was amping all weekend to ride in the mud. He got his wish. Here Lucas sends his biggest bunny hop to clear the first falls in Chunder Dome.

The People wanted a good show, and they got one.

Only certain riders can make the falls look good. Patrick Hennessey's run through Chunder Dome got some heavy cheers from the crowd.

There was no shortage of thunderous crashing to serve as sacrifice to the Chunder Gods.

This tree has probably taken out more riders than any in Port Angeles.

Gravity's Scott Kemp took the race off to nurse an injury, but lent a hand course sweeping on his 29'er and regulating rider safety.

Kevin Aiello took home the pro podium in Men's DH followed by Remi Gauvin in 2nd and Kyle Sangers in 3rd. Luke Strobel and Kirk McDowall held down 4th and 5th.
