Video: The Riders Overlooked By Modern Geometry
@PhillipJ: I agree, gravel seems to be the new xc, but it’s not very comfortable and slow cause it’s so bumpy without full sus.

Video: The Riders Overlooked By Modern Geometry
I don’t like the trend for xc bikes going super slack now. Not everyone wants to ride a WC track on an xc bike but just want to put some miles in and get the most help climbing. Round here most tracks are like a bridleway with super steep climbs and long mellow descents.

Review: 2024 Norco Optic - High Pivot, Short Travel
Why wouldn’t you get a Ripmo or similar bike instead of this that would be longer travel, climb way better and be lighter. I don’t get who would buy a short travel bike like that as I do everything on a Ripley and it’s been fine for me. I know industry needs to progress but feels like a step backwards now with these short travel ,high pivot, super heavy bikes.

Privateer Bikes Launch Gen 2 Privateer 141 & 161
Did i open pinkbike up and get transported back to 2010. Doesn't look very modern and fresh compared to what's coming out these days.

Reviewed: 6 of the Best Lightweight Elbow Pads for 2024
Best set i had was an old 661 with forearm protection that was about 18 years old and it was bomb proof. Soft padding and hard plastic that was great on rocks and it never moved. It also would move in the joint so it was comfortable to wear. They do not make them anymore but it is still going strong. Unfortunately i feel the D30 or new soft foam gives a false sense of security on rocky trails.

[Updated with Company Statement] Orange Bikes Intends to Appoint Administrator
Smaller companies will always be hit harder during a slowdown but also it feels times have changed within the industry. Those who grew up with these brands used to see them as quite cool, but they have moved on to more sophisticated designs and other brands have come in with better marketing strategies. I don't see so many young people getting into biking like they used to.
