We are proud to sign Carson Storch to our freeride program. The two-year deal will see Carson compete at a full schedule of slopestyle and freeride events across the globe. He will also be involved in several high-profile film projects.

Carson is unique because he rides at such a high level in both slopestyle and big mountain - and he tears it up on trail bikes too. He’ll be a great ambassador for our brand.

bigquotesRocky Mountain has always represented freeride, and is a company that I am proud to ride for, the bikes are awesome, the team is awesome, and they have been very welcoming. I'm happy to start a new chapter in my career with them. - Carson Storch

Carson had the opportunity to work with our engineering team to build a custom slopestyle bike in our North Vancouver prototype lab. He will ride a carbon Maiden for the Red Bull Rampage and other big mountain events, as well as a carbon Altitude for trail riding.

We have a deep history in freeride, sponsoring the first freeride team back in 1995. Carson joins Rocky Mountain alumni Wade Simmons, Thomas Vanderham, Brett Tippie, and Geoff Gulevich.

Cheers bud, welcome to the team!

He had a few Rocky starts at the Mountain of Rampage, but I see him soaring to new Altitudes now!

Clearly Rocky saw Carson's talent in the Pipeline as a potential teammate. His Instincts are good, and all the Elements add up. No doubt, he'll Slayer when he puts the Hammer down. It's a great Switch for this rider.

  • 2 2

Has anyone prepared Carson for Tippie!!
  • 2 1
He's a professional, he knows what he's doing.
  • 3 2
Tippie demolished Rob Warner in a few minutes on the lift... I wouldn't be so sure if Scorch can take it so lightly
  • 1 1
 Just Saying!
  • 1 1
Wait a sec... They don't have dj/slope bike at the moment, soooo.. Storch?!
  • 1 2

Carson Storch is a welcome addition to the Rocky gang! Amazing rider with serious work ethic, cool attitude with a good sense of humour and brings some fresh blood to the team! Give'er Carson!!
  • 28 1
Cant wait to see the slope bike. It would be cool to see a new DJ in the RM line up too.
  • 4 7

Carson actually had the opportunity to work with our Engineering team to create a custom slope bike just for him. It's based on the Thunderbolt and we just finished welding the first one up in our North Van prototype lab. We'll share photos soon!
  • 4 3
I personally don't get that- you guys developed the SlayerSS, that Gully rode, sold it for 2 years and stopped that.... Now develop a new proto with him based on the Thunderbolt... while Trek is working on the Ticket S since years and just get it better... well, looking forward to see the photos of that ride!

 Sounds sick ????????

Awesome team line up at Rocky Mountain but they do need some young blood. Good luck Carson on keeping up with them.
  • 6 0
they have a few young ish riders, Rémi Gauvin, Dylan Forbes, Geoff Gulevich, Noah Brousseau.
  • 21 3
They have Tippie, they have everything! But to top that, they have Thomas Vanderham and off course, The Godfather Simmons. Take your hats off and was your mouth, you disrespectful, cheap stoke fed, young generation! Steve Peat can beat 99,999999% of aspiring riders and he's over 40!!! Too much Redbull TV, too much Twitter and too much park! Now go out and ride off camber corners on roots in wet! Get dirty!
  • 2 0
although i agree with what you are saying, i also see the need for young blood to keep the brand out there. Gully didnt compete in rampage this year and hasn't competed at crankworx for a couple of years. Currently they do not have many of their riders competing in big events, this is where Carson fits in.

maybe they havent been competing at the big events (freeride, downhill, slopestyle) because they have been developing new bikes as on the enduro side they are doing pretty well with the Urge team.

@WAKIdesigns you damn kids! get off my lawn!
  • 16 1
I thought they stopped reviewing downhill bikes in the bible of bike?
  • 2 1
 My exact thoughts! haha

  • 6 1
Great to hear! Kill it this year dude!!!

  • 10 0
Looks like the jade coil I'm not 100% sure though
  • 3 0
jade w ti. because y not? both made in the suntour factory. (I'm not saying it as a bad thing)
  • 6 1
Is diamondback dead? I've never really liked their products, but they lost mcgarry and storch, do they have anyone else?
  • 10 2
Mike Hopkins. I bought a Mission cause it was cheap and have been pretty happy with it.
  • 4 1
I'm on a mission too,and pretty happy with it. I know DB is bringing on someone new, and am interested to see who it is. I have always had an affinity for DB, since I had a DB bmx as a kid. So i really hope they don't give up on their mtb team
  • 2 2
2015 Sortie 3 and Haanjo Trail here. Very quality bikes.
  • 1 1
The Accell Group owns them now, so most likely. I'd guess that few people here know that another Accell brand, Lapierre, completely pulled out of the USA market not long ago...a fact that was sparsley covered by North American 'media'. The only thing that may save DB is that they are sold to mas merchants, outside of the traditional Independent Bike Dealer (IBD) network. Congrats Carson, great move!
  • 4 1
Bike magazine called and they would like their music back.
  • 2 0
Anybody else love the paint and aesthetic styling of this bike?
  • 1 1

  • 2 1
Rocky Mountain don't have dirt jump frame ...
  • 3 1

  • 1 1

  • 1 1
Good for Carzon! He's starting to get his steeze. That was a quality welcoming.
  • 2 0

  • 28 0
Carson is running 26" wheels. The Maiden is designed to run either wheel size without messing up the geometry.
  • 1 0
