Video: Crossing the Rubicon on eMTBs & 4x4s with Mark Weir
I finally have to respond to the moronic, self appointed elitists who say they are protecting the planet. I suggest in this age of unlimited information that they look up the history of the Rubicon between Lake Tahoe and Georgetown, California. I moved to Tahoe in the mid 60's and maneuvered and crawled along the trail in my CJ5's and even on my Husqvarna 400 MX bike. This deep canyon has been travelled even in the 1800's, when there was a hotel of sorts. There were no motor vehicles of course, so it was horses and even stage coaches. This is the modern age and the Jeeper Jamboree camps there every year with lots of the hated 4 wheelers having a grand time. Generators supply power for the bands that sometimes play. We always went late in the year and would always have the area to ourselves. I want to tell all you extremely gifted enduro and purist riders, the downhills are great, but there is major uphill on rock gardens that even superhuman riders will have to get off and walk, a long way. This is not a designated no motor vehicle area, and we all can't be planet saving people who think it's only for their enjoyment. It is fun, and fun can be had even by non bikers. Mountain bikers are usually not as elitist as road bikers who only think their poo doesn't stink. Have a good day and get out and push that gas pedal, vroooooom………...

Video: Cam Zink's 110 Foot World Record Backflip Crash
I am always late to the party due to Cameron not telling us, his parents, about this crash stuff. I have watched him crash for almost 30 years, and regarding some of the comments in this article as to why he does it , it's simple, he has an Evil Knievel type personality. I remember 1974 when I was a young guy, being in Twin Falls, Idaho watching Evil Knievel as he tried to jump the Snake River Canyon. It did not end well. Cameron has an Evil Knievel persona, but he is more talented than Evil in his respective sport. Evil crashed about every jump, but he did it anyway. Thank God Cameron only crashes now and then. One of Cameron's early grade school teachers said that Cameron is going to jump off a cliff no matter what you say or do, so it's just that you have to guide him to the right cliff.

Interbike Cancelled for 2019
Right on Cameron! Having lived in No Nevada going back to the mid-60's and having the pleasure of siring Cam Z, I have to step in on the arrogance of the Canucks. I love Canada, go every year, and have floated the Yukon 40 years, ago, was on the Mackenzie in NW Terr, fished in LacLaRonge Sask camped in the Okanagan and spent dozens of summers on Manitoulin Isl Ontario. But your country has changed and the current PM is a prime example of pinkness, and changing the Canadian way of life. The die is cast in order to be more like Europe, sad. The subject we are writing about here is what a Canadian thinks of Reno, Nevada. Most of it is too many Kalifornians thereby pretty much wrecking the great state of Nevada, not to mention Tesla and Apple moving in. I am curious where the un-employment and meth figures came from ? Unemployment in the USA is under 4% and just about anybody that wants a job has one. All your facts on Reno are not wrong and I suppose you put out there to somehow justify the big putdown. I attended Interbike back when it was in Anaheim and in Vegas, and like all the other comments, it's not tariffs or location, it's just that business is changing in the marketing approach and format. So, keep on thinking that Reno was the problem, it just shows lack of facts.

Rémy Métailler Denied US Entry, Won't Be At Rampage
It's amazing how all you bikers think it's Trumps fault. How ignorant! It has NOTHING to do with him. These are laws and if you have any problem in your background, try and get into our northern neighbor, Canada. They will not let you in. Cam Zink, my son, had a legal issue as a juvenile and was denied entry into Canada to compete in Krankworx, mandating he get a special visa at the consulate in LA well in advance of the event. Another example is my nephew who was in finance and was going in at Windsor, Ont. When asked why he was coming into Canada, he told them he was going in on business and that he represented a Canadian hockey player financially. They denied him entry and turned him back saying that a Canadian should have that job. What a joke, the hockey player, played on a US NHL team. If any of you mt bikers have a DUI, then you are not getting into Canada period. Check it out if you don't believe me. This is so typical of supposedly highly educated people that are blindsided by politics. Take note, that most countries have laws and the presidents, past and present have nothing to do with turning this Frenchman away.

Building Bikes in Asia - An Inside Look
I watched the video and read the comments last week. I am amazed that so many people are unaware or ignorant of simple business practice, procedure, and risks for your investment both in time and money. People are not in business to not make a profit. Go to the grocery store and tell them they charge too much. The free market and capitalism regulate the price due to competition and product availability. One of the biggest issues is L-I-A-B-I-L-I-T-Y , both with product quality, misuse of the product, and of course personal injury due to product failure. I applaud anyone who wants to start a bike business and especially those who want to sell them for less money just for the fun of it.
