Who wouldn’t love to focus purely on their passions? For Ryders Eyewear, this has been their reality for the past 30 years—concentrating on the development of premium quality eyewear that delivers the best performance at a cost that ensures that athletes and outdoor enthusiasts won’t hesitate to truly use it. Of course, for this North Vancouver-based brand, a big part of the development process—and their passion for it—is testing their products in their own backyard: the notorious North Shore trails and the winding, grueling roads of the Pacific Northwest. They can often be heard saying “if eyewear can perform in these environments, it’ll perform almost anywhere else”.

The result of this focus was evident in 2015 with the resounding launch of their antiFOG lenses, a product introduction that was as equally surprising as it was innovative.

It isn't often that a product comes along that is so relevant to so many people. After all, what road cyclist, mountain biker, runner, backpacker, or other outdoor enthusiasts hasn't experienced the trouble of fogger lenses? - Roy Williams, Director of Product Development, Ryders Eyewear

On February 2nd, 2016, Ryders launched their 2016 collection and their antiFOG offering has expanded considerably with 12 frames and a total of 36 options. Included in this is yet another ground-breaking lens innovation—veloPOLAR™—an antiFOG lens that’s fine-tuned for road cyclists, offering the benefits of a traditional polarized lens without the compromises.

veloPOLAR™ explained: Despite the reality that roads are the source of a great deal of reflected light that a traditional polarized lens is designed to block, road cyclists typically avoid polarization. And it’s for good reason as there are situations where a traditional polarized lens can hide a slippery surface, blackout an LCD screen, and create strange optical anomalies on varying surface textures. The veloPOLAR™ lens is tuned to cut through glare without hiding a slippery surface, it will never blackout a cycling computer and it reduces the optical anomalies associated with polarization. These benefits, in combination with Ryders antiFOG technology, make the veloPOLAR™ lens a perfect choice for road cyclists.

Products like these can only come from a brand that sincerely understands the needs of cyclists. The only way to develop eyewear that is truly relevant - and even necessary - to those who take part in these kinds of activities, is to be passionate users ourselves. It's the passion we share with our customers that reveals the opportunities to innovate and tackle problems that have traditionally been inherent in eye protection for outdoor athletes. - Jayson Faulkner, General Manager, Ryders Eyewear

A brand new site
In the two years leading up to their 30th anniversary, Ryders realized that their customers deserve an online experience that is
in-line with their passions and reflective of the quality and innovation that has come to be expected of the brand.

After a great deal of effort and just in time to introduce their 2016 collection, Ryders has flipped the switch on their new website, offering a clean, responsive and intuitive browsing experience. Their rich, authentic heritage on Vancouver’s North Shore, their strong involvement in the outdoor community, and their expertise in the world of performance eyewear are all evident in the design and content of the site.

www.ryderseyewear.com

To celebrate the launch of the new website, Ryders is offering free shipping until the end of February (coupon code: 30years.freeshipping).

We didn't know it at the time, but in many ways, we've been building this site for 30 years. Our heritage in the
Pacific Northwest in combination with our three decades in the industry has given our brand a unique perspective
and deep knowledge of the needs of our customers. The act of communicating the stories that have built our
brand - along with the values and principles that drive the reasons for doing what we do - have reacquainted us with our deep roots as a North Shore cycling brand. - Michael Quinn, Director of Marketing, Ryders Eyewear

Ryders has the best customer service of any company I've ever dealt with. At Interbike I mentioned to one of their reps the rubber nose piece on my Ryders sunglasses was deteriorating and asked if I could get a replacement part. He took my glasses and simply gave me a new pair. They have my business for life. They also had some awesome prototype goggles that I can't wait to get my hands on when they come out!

Dear Ryders, please sort out your European distribution! I've been trying to get some Polarized Face glasses (the green/blue ones). You guys don't ship this side of the Atlantic, the companies listed on your website either stock one or two frames or in some cases deny having ever heard of you.

I have the anti-fog's from last year. I ride in the North Shore of Vancouver and, although the lenses aren't 100% fogless all the time, they are by far the best I've ever used. VERY good product!
