 Fogel should won it
  • 36 5
i think so, too. never saw a flip-xup-onefoot-to-whip WTF!!! Fuck that cork 7!
  • 12 4
yup. That was the most creative trick I've seen in a while.
  • 20 3
i normally not complain about judges decision. But Fogel trick was insane, new + the combo actually fit properly together. You know, some combo are super hard but not nice to watch. The one foot already opened the door to the tail whip while doing the x-up. While doing a backflip.

You guys please tell me again about how you know more about x-up flipwhips and corked sevens then the crew of professional riders who judged this.
  • 9 6
Semenuks New thing is corked 7s so im not that impressed to see it. Fogelquists Backflip-1 foot-Xup- Whip. Never seen that before.
  • 8 3
@yeahbro some people actually ride here and are part of the scene instead of being pinkbike fanboys.

can you do these tricks spaced? Until you can dont tell people which is harder.
  • 11 0
back to the topic of combos, the tailwhip to indian air was pretty rad
  • 6 2
Stoked to see somebody else boasting nasty 7's other than Brandon!!
  • 5 0
Fogel's was technical and super clean and smooth and for a worlds first! I'd say about $4000 better than that cork 7.... at least Pinkbike and Tippie gave him the love showing it in the front of the video!
  • 12 3
If it was Semenuk instead of Jordie, you would all be puckering up for him.
  • 1 2
@zoomzoom how did you score on your SATs with those reading comprehension skills. I never said it was harder. I claimed it was more creative. A corked 7 is rare but it has been done many times while Fogel's trick was a first timer. That scores him extra points. Plus anyone will tell you combitation tricks are very very hard. Even simple combinations are easy to get mixed up.

@thinkbike Why? People just appreciate originality and creativity. Fogels trick will push the sport forward much more than another 20 people doing a corked 7 (and dont get me wrong it's a sick trick and I loved it)

Yeah never seen it, and it's obviously not easy, time to start rewording those that are truly Inovative.
  • 2 0
i really want to see some one to do a front flip superman
  • 1 0
a new trick should be the winner, especially one as tech as that... Jordy's been doing corked 7's for like 6 years or something now...
  • 3 0
@stumper21 - I think Mccaul did that some time ago. Not sure if in comp or only in movies.
  • 3 2
something about jordie lunns cork 7s are so much steezier than semenuks
  • 2 0
what did messere do? I was one of those tards on the lift out of view of the screen for the cabin and at zogs for the first feature
  • 1 1
Since Fogel's combo was new it was not scored properly.
  • 1 3
I would say that Semenuk actually lands a little smoother than Semenuk on his corked 7's.
  • 1 0
Fogel would have scored much better if he boosted it a bit more. Look at all that the blue sky behind Jordie and you'll see that he had more height and horsepower going for him. I think that was the deciding factor for the judging by the other riders.
  • 3 0
yes semenuk does land better than semenuk... think about that for a sec
  • 17 3
fogel deffinatly got robbed here. for a trick that was first done in 2006, and also a trick that alot people can do to beat a world first extremly technical trick is crazy. now im just going to wait for brandon and brett to get perfect 100 scores in the slope-style.
  • 4 3
Yeah haha Brandon and are almost good enough to get one hundreds. But on another note by alot you mean 2? Jodie and semenuk thats about it and I think messere landed one into mulch but that doesn't really count
  • 1 2
 mike montgomery...
  • 1 2
Sam Pilgrim... Come on, Jordie Lunn did that SAME trick years ago, correct me if im wrong but i think it was done on the first Claworx. FOGEL GOT ROBBED BAD.
  • 2 1
i think the main reason lunn may have won is because hes kinda like a pioneer....not fully but hes been around. i think the 3 flip thing was sick but fogel had that shiz!
  • 2 0
speaking of, what ever happened to mike montgomery
  • 1 0
i dont really know... im still waiting for the 1080 video
  • 7 0
 2:18 = goodbye rim.
  • 2 3
 Not if its a 36spoke mag 30!
  • 5 0
Dude, it would be destroyed even if it was a full aluminiun mag wheel.
  • 1 2
No way I would ever run that rim ever again, regardless of the mechanic, material and spoke count!
  • 4 0
xsn0w: that would have happened with ANY wheel on the market.
  • 1 0
only difference is an aluminium wheel would of snapped instead of bend
  • 2 0
 that was an aluminum wheel...
  • 1 0
Lol, no it was paper mache...
  • 5 0
 Soderstroms tucked 3 was HUGE!!!
  • 3 0
 not just huge.. steazy!
  • 5 1
definetly that x-up onefoot flip to whip was badass!!! and the whip to seatgrab was crazy too!!!
  • 1 0
The organizers did the best they could so people cannot shit on the result by making a riders judged contest. People are still whining about the results even if the riders don't. It seems like everybody on pinkbike can do the tricks Lunn and Fogel did and know which was the hardest...
  • 1 0
Fogel was robbed. Again another example of a contest being a popularity contest and not about riding. A 720 is something that has been done over and over by many. Fogel's combo was insanely mind blowing and the first ever to my knowledge.
  • 6 4
They even say it's a world first, which usually means it's pretty f*cking epic.. and usually wins.. #robbed. (sorry for the hashtag, but seemed fitting..)
  • 4 2
I think that the backflip one foot x-up to tailwhip is better than 7 cork...
  • 1 0
Wait, so... Semenuk DIDN'T win a trick comp?!
Insane skills though that these guys have, honestly no idea how they do it and find the ground wheels first!
  • 2 0
he probably didn't compete. he usually doesn't
  • 2 2
What's up with the 1/2 Watermelon at 3:26? Now, I really think that the Cork 7 was the winning trick, but FolgQ should have had 2nd for sure, even over that awesome looking frontie tuck no! Awesome edit and song!

The half water melon guy at one point jumped the fence and ran up the hill where the jeep was parked. Event staff shoved him back down the hill and then had to watch the fence so he didn't try to get in the way again.
  • 1 0
That is weird! Thanks for the backstory! That is exactly what I was asking for.
  • 3 0
I brought the water melons because they are delicous and refreshing. Yeh i gave my first half to my drunk mates who must have jumped the fence. Not suprised at all by hearing that but thats my hand at 3:26. Big Grin
  • 3 0
Oh, the song is Feeding Line by Boy and Bear if you don't know....
  • 4 0
 jordie & martin FTW
  • 3 0
 WHAT ABOUT FOGEL!!!!!!!!???????
  • 5 0
 Fogel for President!!!!
  • 3 0
Way to go Tom!!!! Huge front!!
  • 1 0
Clearly I didnt know what I was talking about with my last comment. Im sure you all gave me a justly deserved neg prop spanking. I apologize.
  • 2 1
Dont know if its in the vid but the 720 off the stepdown was insane, almost had it, imo that would have won it.
  • 2 0
who was the guy who fell on the 720 off that drop? that was gnarly
  • 4 0
Brayden barret hay i believe he is from Toronto.
  • 1 0
That dude is so ballsy, everytime ive seen him go down hes doing something big
  • 1 0
Sooo..I'm assuming Semenuk didn't compete in this. He's at a whole other level
  • 3 1
does no1 else dislike the guy hu presents?
  • 1 0
I think tom van steenbergan deserved to win because front flip tuck no was fricking sick
  • 2 0
Nice video guys. Awesome to see the multiple video angles of the same hit!
  • 1 0
Lunn should not have won that. im sure thats the only one ive ever seen him land. Fogel had that in the bag.
  • 3 2
jordie deserved that win for sure, look at the size of that jump!!
  • 1 0
sam dueck has the nicest superflips. hands down
  • 1 0
goldman should have won! hes prly having the most fun aha
  • 2 0
 where's montgomery ? :o
  • 1 0
Some of the big names like semenuk and montgomery and messere didnt compete in the best trick as they are just focusing on the joyride as its more important.
  • 1 0
Broken and out for the rest of the season I believe
  • 1 0
Is he? How did that happen?
  • 1 0
He broke his thumb and has a surgery on it, back in July. I think it got infected, but not sure on that. Check out his twitter feed. He's on all sorts of antibiotics and such. He is a rad rider and I can't wait to see him tear it up again!
  • 2 0
yeah thats what happened to montgomery... he's had bad luck with complications from his thumb =( hopefully he'll be back for rampage!
  • 1 0
Congrats Tom! Rider judged events are the best ones to win!
