I like the non challant jump to the side promptly followed by catapulting off the bike lol
  • 91 0
the guy that fly's into the forest is my hero
  • 33 0
Number one is next level bailing, if u would rather jump into the trees flying squirrel status that bump one, u deserve fail of the month
  • 29 0
I must go, my planet needs me.
  • 25 1
 My moms reactions: "Oh wow"
"SHIT!"
"SHIT!"
"SHIT!"
"SHIT!"
"SHIT!"
  • 14 3
i have to say though number 2 for the great use of the RKO
  • 7 1
 #1 base-jumping: you're doing it wrong
  • 9 0
#1 should win just for having 2 fails in one...
  • 10 0
And the dude that fell 2nd ducking in the hole was hilarious too!
  • 5 2
Guys- #2 had me hysterical....that was stupid funny..
  • 2 0
 #1
  • 1 0
the little whoo hoo just before the spiderman launch was priceless
  • 4 0
#1 - Was the best but I dont think thats really a crash. Thats just the Expert hybrid parkour line.
  • 1 0
my favorite too, he just sends it right into the tree. can't stop laughing...
  • 1 0
what's it matter if He wants to ride shirtless, didn't even look like His back got cut up and at least He had a helmet on...
  • 1 0
Just watch the bystander in the green hoodie in the first one as there's just bodies landing all around him
  • 111 5
#3 - your warranty claim is rejected based purely on the fact you are dumb enough to ride shirtless.
#1 gets my vote - The Spiderman flailing off into the forest, and the whole sequence of events was pure WTF comedy.
  • 11 2
Couldn't of said it better , what a tw@ riding without a shirt - number one makes me laugh all the time
  • 4 6
no way bro, he was like so punk rock!

uhm yeahhh, nose heavy on the bender sender? I'd shit my pants.

I ride without a shirt when it's really hot, a thin jersey doesn't really do all that much to protect you from scrapes anyway
  • 149 6
It does protect you from looking like a twat
  • 11 3
 Best comment!
  • 28 17
I got a replacement under the 'crash warranty' from Norco, which just means I still had to pay some of the cost of the frame, I guess cuz it was still my fault that I crashed and stuff. I didn't realized being shirtless was considered looking like a twat, but it feels great! so therefore I do it. In case you don't realize, a shirt would only protect from some scrapes and dirt, not really anything serious like hitting a tree this hard, its not dumb, its just my preference when it's too hot out.
  • 9 7
Yeah a shirt offers so much more protection... dont be stupid man.
  • 11 4
Next time I go ride dh I'm going to put on some lyrca just spite all the mtb fashion police here. Then when I get hot I'll take off my jersey and go shirtless. I don't ride shirtless or in spandex but who cares?

#3 is disqualified from the contest for claiming the jump he crashed on is 35'...or maybe not: 2 fails in the same video?
  • 4 2
 Ahhhh aaa!! Twat!!! Well sed!!
  • 1 0
#1 best superman no biker I have seen in a while :-)
  • 5 0
I ride that trail and that jump is all of 35' - the next one in line is even bigger. Camera never does it justice
  • 1 0
@bhd13: that jump is quite big, I don't use this feet nonsense, but if they say Flight deck gaps in Coast Gravity have 50, then this definitely has 35.

Also, How is that a crash replacement? I understood the headtube snap caused the whole crash, or do I see it wrong?
  • 1 0
@MrDuck , actually, I overshot and endoed the jump to flat, so that screwed me up and put me out of control, so I couldn't even steer or anything
  • 2 0
@boostmaster oh that makes more sense, didn't see the endo as an option Smile Well, still a good thing it didn't happen on the next one! Endoing onto that little step-up after could have been sketchy!
  • 3 0
@MrDuck: I've ridden flight deck and I would be surprised if anything measured 50'. If so then crabapple hits must be 90'.
  • 4 0
@bhd13 Well honestly, Crabapples aren't noticeably, if at all, bigger than the 4th gap on Flight deck. Flight deck is just MUCH, MUCH more comfortable to hit, perhaps because you can see the landing coming into it, and it doesn't kick you as high as Crabapples do.

I don't know if it's 50', 50' is what, 4 kilograms?

Also, my pals went full "OMG IM SO HARDCORE" mode with a tape measure:
fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xfa1/v/t1.0-9/10487357_10203466202047401_5545679260807182879_n.jpg?oh=58f74d85e79a8733f8c383e288988e43&oe=54EFE8B4&__gda__=1420901977_42a85b37d3bac82c4863a0ae29220b7c
And I think they said it was 50', but I might recall it wrong.

Doesn't really matter, but those gaps on Ledgeview (the spot from the video) aren't small by any measure, the next one is definitely comparable to Crabapples, except it has a sharp, sharp landing :O
  • 11 0
Your distance to weight conversion looks spot on to me.
  • 2 3
I mean, it is quite a distance, but nowhere near 35ft. More like 20 to 25 MAX.
  • 5 1
its really depending on the size of your feet...
  • 2 0
@Kainerm honestly, I've used google to convert this feet thing, and apparently 25 average feet is 7.62 meters. The gap is bigger than that, it may not look like it on the video, but it's closer to 10 meters by all means. Not that it matters though..jus' saying.
  • 2 1
We need to settle on which unit the jump is being measured in. There's mainly 'Merican feet, Canadian feet, and Australian feet. Aussie feet are about 1.25 'Merican, and Canadian are about 0.75 'Merican.
Or just use metres and nobody will question it. In the case of the jump in #3 I'd use centimetres... Sorry, couldn't resist.
  • 2 0
@Kainerm Having actually ridden here. It is definitely 35 feet. if not more. Its at 1:08 in this video http://www.pinkbike.com/video/357783/
  • 1 0
1 foot according to me is 12 inches or 30 centimeters, I have never even heard of anything different than that.
  • 2 1
Its a decently big jump,I have another angle of the jump in a video my friend filmed of me its at around 40 seconds www.pinkbike.com/video/378742 but im not sure about 35 feet maybe 25-30
  • 29 0
Slow motion "shaiser" did it for me. And #6 is about as good as you could hope bringing a ghetto ramp to rampage going.
  • 16 4
"Shaiser" abuahahahaha I died I freaking died laughing
  • 8 0
 Oh ScheiĂźe Big Grin

German cursing at its best!
  • 4 3
 It's "Scheisse", not "shasier".
  • 8 8
I connected word "Shaiser" to a situation that makes you say "Shaisse!" or a video full of situations that would make people eventually say "Shaisse". So some of those videos are legitimate "Shaisers". You know, in the same way a thriller is a movie that is full of thrills
  • 1 0
Isn't that one from a year ago? I swear that's Aaron again
  • 3 0
It's Aaron, Ivan... He stands up, walks to the bushes and grabs a beer I'm pretty sure.
  • 3 0
The guy in #6 doesn't need a backpack, he needs a brain.
  • 1 1
haha it's me guys, no aaron. I'm happy beeing able to entertain you! cheers! Big Grin
  • 1 0
We are talking about the one at Rampage in Utah
  • 1 0
 Same jump/crash, different angle

www.pinkbike.com/video/299235
  • 13 0
the guy in #2 was like 'f*ck this im staying clipped in'
  • 10 2
The chain reaction crash effect from trains never seizes to amaze me.

Kiev, Ukraine... 0.12 has the launch I have ever seen (NASA standard).
  • 5 0
I cannot take anything away from these guys....send it as big as you want. Hit it.....like its medicine. But...I always think if I needed medical help would it arrive in time. Cheers, I loved the vids. The kid with the broken bike gets my vote. Broken bikes are sad.
  • 5 0
#3 I broke a Scott Voltage in half just like that and it was no joke!
Wearing a full face I broke my jaw, 3 teeth and 5 stitches in the chin.I know exactly how that guy feels.
  • 34 1
Just for the record, I was wearing a shirt.
  • 4 2
lol, I'm sure the shirt helped too Wink Thankfully I didn't break my jaw but I was worried about messing up some teeth, thankfully I was fine, just very sore for a while.
  • 1 0
No way Sterlings bender sender crash made it here. If anyone has actually stood on that in run, then you know how mega that crash was. The first time I watched that, I was thinking sterling was dead. That step down is roughly 40' feet down and 60' out I do believe.
  • 5 0
Guy in the green top first vid like.... 'I'm cool, I'm cool'
  • 3 0
Broken bike gets my vote.. that sucks.. warranty and get some free stuff in the meantime. Though the virgin Utah one is my favorite.
  • 1 0
Superman flying into the bushes in #1 is definitely awesome but #4 almost had me fall out of my chair. He did the front flip without his bike and the way he tried to decide halfway through in the air which way to bail out and what to do now just made it look stupid funny! My vote goes to #4.
  • 2 0
They were all pretty hardcore but #6 was the one that had me ducking under my desk screaming at the monitor to ditch the bike.
  • 4 1
Just for entertainment value it has to be #1 for me! But there are a few good ones this month!
  • 1 0
Best fails compilation I've seen yet
  • 3 0
first one for sure) its our trail and we testing new stuff after build day)))
  • 5 1
#3 broken Norco bike !!! He hit that tree pretty hard
  • 6 6
i think it snapped when he landed judging by the sound and the landing Wink and that my friends is why you dont buy norcos
  • 1 1
Are Norcos known for breaking like this or something?

instagram.com/p/q4yQKbDKrw

From Stevens Pass a few weeks back; some guy apparently hucked to flat and did that to his bike. Looks like the same type of frame failure.

Edit: F*ck me, didn't realize that was a kona in my own photo. NEVERMIND. DISREGARD
  • 1 4
Sorry, that kid.... on the one side I´m glad he didn´t break his neck. On the other side doing that stuff with almost npthing on than trousers and a fullface he deserves as punishment to have broken his bike. And if my child would do that sport without any protection he/she´d not see the bike for a loooong period of time. only a slight back and neck protection wouldn´t be such a bad idea, would it?
  • 1 0
Oh, man.... then what to say if someone of this age does such stupid things? :-D
  • 3 0
Red bull rampage is over ! People need to know they don t have wings anymore !
  • 1 0
Should have chugged a red bull before attempting that
  • 4 0
heard thers a nice Norco truax frame in the buysell, $50!
  • 3 0
#5 was brutal slamming that stump. But you gotta give #6 props for fully committing.
  • 2 0
" Dear NORCO Customer service manager,
I'm writing you this letter for my NORCO bike frame warranty. This frame is deceptively brittle, hence I need a new one pronto"
  • 1 0
Pinkbike Classifieds: Norco - Like New!!! Only ridden one season. A few small scratches from shuttling. $5000.
  • 3 0
#6 is the best big balls to send that
  • 2 0
Yes for sure that s bigger than 95% of Rampage. But that s a shame he wouldn t have crashed if the sender was well shaped: I mean the kick should have been flat like a normal gap.. And there it s a little jump with a curve. Still, that Guy has balls of steel
  • 1 0
My mistake I was speaking for september's winner !
  • 3 0
Fail of the month, brought to you by Randy Orton
  • 3 0
"oh shiza" in slow motion #5 had me in tears!!

  • 1 0
The guy stood watching in #1 is classic, he just doesn't react. even when super man takes of into the bushes
  • 1 0

  • 1 0
Hahahahhaa these WWE crashes are SO funny !
  • 1 0
about time we showed the internet that we can make badass RKO vines!!
  • 2 0
 #5 all the way!
  • 1 0
 #1!

Take alone the cat jump at 0:12
  • 2 1
What's wrong with the dude in the 2nd vid? Totally could of saved it.
  • 3 0
Went just a tiny bit too slow and got bucked on the lip it looks like. It'd be really hard to ride away from his jump, even if his arms weren't fully extended out, all his weight on the front wheel from that big of a jump would probably blow your hands off the bars or bucked you forward. Props to the rider for trying that gap on a trail bike, shit was huge.
  • 2 2
The jump needed some love, it was all overgrown and super kicky, it was his first ride on that bike and his first time hitting the jump. But yeah, he's all good!
  • 2 1
 number #3 !! he has broken a norco !!!
  • 1 0
#6 sounds like a broken leg to me. Damn.
  • 1 0
It was only a broken collar bone. I saw him about a week after that and he was trying to ride already. That kid is crazy.
  • 2 1
#3. He should at least get something for breaking his bike.
  • 1 0
AHAH i was there for the last two clips.
  • 1 0
did you try duct taping the norco?
  • 1 0
They should re-name Fail of the Month to "Schadenfreude Time!"
  • 1 0
That dude in number 3 went full hulk. Wakes up in tattered jean shorts
  • 1 0
Hands down- #2...even without the rko it's PERFECT
  • 1 0
If you can't do it, don't do it....
  • 1 0
I'm not sure if #1 is a fail or a win? Golden is more fitting.
  • 1 0
#1 has a new trick: the Tarzan
  • 1 0
dude looks like a flying squirrel in the first one
  • 1 0
