Being a predominately BC-based team the Morpheus guys are used to being snowed out during the winter. This year the factory team members and extended pro family escaped from the cold on a week long trip that kicked off at AT's Showdown in SFO. The goal was to escape the cold for a week of riding that lacked the pressure normally associated with the world tour. It also provided the up and coming team pros an opportunity to ride with and feed off the factory team guys. The result was a very chill week and a new banger video from Shelby Smith.
Brayden Barrett-Hay has really been coming into his own over the last year. He won the best style award at AT's Showdown and he has big plans for 2013 with goals to land himself a top 10 overall on next year's world tour.
Even the factory team riders can learn a thing or two from the young guns. Casey Groves throwing a Kelsy styled one foot table for kicks. Unfortunately Kelsy had to face Casey during the finals of AT's Showdown which did not work out well for him.
Kelsy Hoog couldn't have been more stoked to ride with the factory team guys. Just a year ago he was virtually unknown; now he learning and riding with some of the best in the business.
Mitch Chubey's recovery is going well since his tib/fib break at Les 2 Alps. Regardless he was not yet ready for competition so he came to support his team members. Mitch's plate and pins will be coming out toward the end of December and he has an ambitious tour schedule in place for 2013.
Stay tuned for a big annoucement on the next Morpheus pro rider. We will give you a hint by telling you he's from down under!

I recognized Post Office and the Aptos step up - but it would have been cool if the builders of the other spots got mentions. Given a bit of credit to the locals for letting the morpheus team turn up and ride their spot.
