Composition really is not that central to a photograph.. Each person see an image which is created through an interaction between the medium they see (in this case today's POD) and their own personal experience; thus 'meaning' and 'aesthetics' are largely on the viewer's end, not the producers.. I'm sure most people looking at this picture will have been in the woods on one of these damp, slightly misty, bright days, where the smells of the wood and moss and mud is clear and fresh in your nose, and the sticky earth sprays up in clumps at every corner.. Hence the picture talks to that experience within you, regardless of supposedly universal rules of composition. Sorry, currently writing an essay. My 2 pence.
