Robb Thompson Wins Shotgun Invitational

July was the biggest month for events at Silver Star Bike Park, after watching world class riders like Tom van Steenbergen win the Silver Style Slope Style, and Troy Bronson win the BC/NW Cup last weekend, it was easy to be mesmerized by the shots that Robb Thompson got at both events.

Robb came away with the win in the Shotgun Invitational with photos like this one earning him $750 cash:


"The Silver Star Shotgun Invitational was a really cool experience. To get to shoot with such an amazing and hard working group of riders was a big honour, and to compete against a talented field of photographers and riders was extremely motivating. Our team definitely put in the hard work, hiking lines again and again, combing the mountain for new angles and shots. Huge thanks to my team and hats off to all the other teams. Second place was Chris Pilling with some amazing action, earning him a cool $500:


"Mike and I came into the shotgun invitational with the goal of getting some images that we were proud of and I think we did that. The format really allowed us to spend time honing in on the good shots without much of a time constraint. Third place was Steve Riffel from Kamloops drove up with Dylan Sherrard and left with $250

Next up for Silver Star is the new Burney Ridge Enduro on August 16th. A one day 3 stage race with 2 climbs and a lift ride. This enduro is going to focus on fun trails for all ability levels. Register before August 1st and get a free event tee shirt.
