Leatt DBX 3.0 Enduro Helmet - Review
I have one, I'm a fan of the Leatt gear and have tested it in real life situations. With the chin bar removed it is very comfortable and the vents work the best of any helmet I have worn, the down side being the bugs get in easier too. With the chin bar fitted, I found it not as comfortable as the Bell Super but very easy to use. The comfort issue is actually to do with the adjuster on the rear digging into the back of my head, this is not padded in any form but is not an issue with the chin bar off as there are no cheek pads changing the way the helmet fits. It fits slightly different with the chin bar on would be the way to explain it. I had an off recently resulting in a broken wrist, the helmet ended up with serious gravel rash as did my goggles. I can't say it worked better than other helmets in the same situation but it certainly did its job and I'm glad I had the chin bar on as it saved me from loosing the side of my face. Overall a very light helmet, generally very comfortable (I've velcro'd a pad on the adjuster) and in the heat a really well vented helmet. Thumbs up!
