 | It was a blast shooting and riding with James and Garett in Kamloops on some old school freeride lines. First off, they are two of my favorite freeriders out there these days, riding steep, natural terrain fast and stylishly in the air AND in the turns. Second, they are both good ol' BC boys that are fun to hang with and a total buzz to go ride some original lines with. They are confident, creative and have the true passion of freeride. | Riding with Tippie is always an adventure, but to spend a couple days in Kamloops where he grew up and where it all began for him was pretty rad. Seeing him ride all the lines he grew up riding and all the stories behind every one of them was a pretty awesome experience. | It was an eye opener to see what Tippie was riding back in the day. He truly is a pioneer of the sport... Shuttling trails back in the 80s with his dad, dropping 5 foot drops with run outs into a ditch off a highway, and just thinking of pointing the bike down a chute that has no brakes and suspension deserves serious props and not to be forgotten. It was awesome of Suntour to pull their Big Mountain team together to pay respects to the beginning of what is called FREERIDE today... - Mitch Cheek - Solos Productions |
