Yoann Barelli's Giant Reign - Crankworx Whistler 2015
All SRAM rims are 21mm on the inside, only the outside width differs between rims. So surly he chose a Roam 50 over a Roam 40? But even then the Roam 50 is still 1530g for a 27.5" rim, so where did the 1750g come into it? I'm confused.

PINKBIKE POLL: Press-Fit Bottom brackets
"Don't like something don't buy it how hard is that to comprehend!" The problem is most people have bought it and only then find out it's problems.

PINKBIKE POLL: Press-Fit Bottom brackets
I've had 9 mountain bikes in the last 10 years, all but one had threaded BB cups and 26" wheels. Nobody needs them to keep reinventing the wheel to get us to buy new bikes, we already do buy them. "Besides, hobbies are suppose to cost money!" Yes they are but you don't just lie down and get buttf***ed by the manufacturers.

PINKBIKE POLL: Press-Fit Bottom brackets
Negative prop me if you want but this was the last straw for me. After 10 years as a mountain biker and numerous I've turned my back on the industry, It's all about profits and coming up with the next big 'iPhone' innovation. After buying a 29er with a PF30 bottom bracket I had to take it back to the shop far too many times to have it fixed. If it were threaded I could fix it myself but had to rely on the shop as it would mean buying a whole host of new tools. Luckily I used to work as a pushbike mechanic so I knew what was wrong and found that the bottom bracket wasn't even installed properly at the factory. But after a few months it started creaking again for the third time and for a bike I only owned for a six months I wanted it gone and sold it. I want to buy a bike with proven technology, I don't want to be a test dummy for a money saving scheme invented by the MTB industry.

Got to love these people who come along and say "But my pressfit bottom bracket has never caused me and problems". Just because yours works doesn't mean everyone is wrong about them. It's like owning a french car (i.e. Peugeot, Citroen, Renault) which are some of the most unreliable cars on the market but that doesn't mean all of them are going to break down. You might be one of the lucky few to have one that doesn't go wrong.

2016 range is the last to be sold within a 'model year'. The 'living line' will start once the 2016 bikes have been released.
