Canadian based CNC firm Straitline Components launches the first ever DH QR Stems into the demanding and competitive Gravity Market.

 I'm sorry, but do we really NEED quick-release on STEMS?!?! I mean, It's a good idea, but we all know what's going to happen. You wake up one morning, not fully caffinated, and go to hitch up the bike to your car, using the quick release. Once you get to your favorite riding spot, you take the bike off, and set the stem straight again. HOWEVER you don't clamp it as tight as you should have. You blast down the rock garden, when suddenly, the stem becomes loose! You end up in a horrific crash and black out. In the hospital, you find that you have broken numerous bones, as well as your bike. You then regret the purchase of this item...

 nah, i actually think this is a bit redic... I think the idea is in the right direction but the design could def use a lot of work... maybe now a stantard QR design... maybe something new

 Yeah I noticed the lycra stuffing but I didnt want to be the first one to point it out =) I would soooooooooooooo buy this since you know I just swap forks and bars all the time and its just such a hassle to lean a bike against the wall hahhahaha. I'm sold.

 It may be an April fool,but i know a man who used a rear skewer as an headlock and it worked for a monht or so,this was on a piece of sh*t bike mind but proves it can be done,but a funny vid all the same,i like the anti-theft bit,take a bar and stem in the shop and leave the front wheel and fork ready to roll,Ha-Ha,funny vid lads.

 i think its perfect for the rider who has to keep undooing the stem to fit it somewhere, like some long XC ride or something... but the one who rarely undose the bolts will find it anoying and worrying just be a handy stem for sertain times...

 looks like to me they used a couple of seat clamp quickreleases and threaded them threw a stem. haha. SMART PEOPLE!!! and theres no way in hell i would but it, try a direct mount in quick release and ill think about it haha.
