Win a Trip to the Michelin Tyre Launch in the French Riviera
I just got back on my bike after an intervention and a couple of months of chemotherapy. Having been diagnosed for the second time in my life now, one when I was 16, and one last August( I'm 22 now), I can say that the desire to ride my bike has kept me mentally strong during my recovery both times. Mountain biking for me is the most amazing thing in the world, ever since I started I have been obsessed by it. By immersing myself into magazines and web pages time has flown past and thankfully I am back on my bike with more enthusiasm than ever, as if nothing happened. I've also just finished sitting university exams and even though it has been quite stressful I have managed to do well. Since I've always dreamed of riding around Europe, it would be amazing if you decided to considered that I deserved a break to celebrate this great year! Thanks. P.S. I hope it doesn't sound like I'm trying to be pitiful in any way, I just want to share what mountain biking is to me, and why this holiday would honestly mean a great deal right now.

so if your not riding in the world cup you are wasting your talent? I think he proved he can be the best, but rather tha having a year off not finishing top 20s and getting frustrated he has changed directions, I think it´s cool, it is tricky and it can be a mess up, but I trust the rat, god save the rat!

Pinkbike Poll: Which Major Component is the Least Evolved Part of a Mountain Bike?
Bikes in general. Maintinance and reliability are something they need to work on, I don´t beleive many mayor changes, geometries are quite dialled... but there is room for a lot of improvement. Frames brake quite frequently and try to find someone who hasn´t had an issue with suspension, a dropper post, brakes... there is still A LOT the industry can improve. I think it would also be great to see more polyvalent bikes, example old scott voltage... which could be changed in travel and geometry wihtout chaging frame and not compromising the ride. And above all, BRING DOWN THE COSTS!!! Also the poll should include a all of them box, or reliability, or who cares I ride my 20 year old kona full rigid box
