'New' Bike Models Every Year - Does That Make Sense?
For me buying a bike with longevity is key. I feel it’s all about who thinks their bike is going to have “proper” geometry a few years down the road. Trek is the worst right now, completely changing their lineup almostevery year making you think “fu@& I shoul have waited six months or whatever.” ( FYI I had a trek fuel 9.9 2011) Haven’t had that feeling with my 2015 Santa Cruz nomad c yet, even with the new one out. It’s still a awesome bike. It’s a ripper. Yea it’s not boosted, but took three years for Santa Cruz to change ithe design and makes me feel they made a great bike, and were willing to stick with it for that long because they knew so. It ride great and still looks great! It feels good to know they didn’t change their whole lineup right after I bought the bike, because they knew they had something good and stick with it. Not a super Santa Cruz fanboy, I still drool over all the new bikes out, but still very happy with my purchase.

Why Pinkbike is Covering eMTBs This Week
All i can say about ebikes is this. I did the turkey day ride (26 miles in Marin) with a group of 70 year olds on ebikes. I'm 32. We kept the same pace all day (going up). It let the group of guys just ride like they were 30 again! Going down it's just regular bike handling. Some day that's going to be me, and I'm gonna be stoked on my ebike. Until then, I'll grind on my enduro rig.

Maxxis Aggressor Tire - Review
I ran this tire all summer with a magic mary up front. I also ran a minion DHRII in the rear as well as a hans dampf. It's NOT better than a hans dampf, in my opinion. I enjoyed it 10x more than the minion, a tire that I ran all last winter and thought I liked! This Tire rolls fast and feels great, but doesn't turn like the dampf does. I had a lot of fun with it, but noticed in dry loose it breaks free as soon as your touch the rear brake. I ended up popping it, so I said what the hell and put a hans on just to compare. Haven't even thought about switching back. The week after I switched the tire, I PR'd every single trail I ride around here. And I ride them alot. Just something to be said. One thing to note, I have 27mm novatec rims, maybe this tire would hook up better on something wider in the realm of 30mm. In the end, I might try it again, but after the winter, it's definitely a summer one.
