Coast Gravity Park

I've had the opportunity to work with Dylan in many different capacities. He transitions from rider, to builder, to filmer effortlessly, a true multi talented individual.

Coast Gravity Park

Starting the Coast Gravity Park is Dylan's and the rest of the Coastal Crew's, latest undertaking. It seems like a natural progression for a group who has gained a following over the years not only for their riding, but for an unmistakable style of building as well.

Coast Gravity Park

What they have created is a masterpiece, a bike park experience like no other. While riding the Coast Gravity Park you can't help but feel like you're in mountain bike heaven. Every detail from the meticulously kept trails, the intimate shuttle system, to the fresh gourmet food is thought out and dialled. It's not uncommon to ride the shuttle up with top professional's from around the world, and then brush elbows with them as they fly by, or over you, on the trail.

Coast Gravity Park

There is a lot of work that goes into keeping the park so pristine that people never see. All of the staff at CGP work tirelessly to provide an elevated experience to all of the riders that come to the park. Both Dylan and I are long and loyal Toyota owners and our trucks certainly play a big role in our daily routine. Huge thanks to Toyota BC and everyone involved for making this project happen.

There was a severe lack of drifting or trucks getting airborne. Perfect rally roads on private property and no sideways vehicles? C'mon.
  • 21 2
some of those roads are way steeper than they look on camera. but yeah that would have been cool.
  • 2 1
Brian knows, should of sent the yote for the video for them.
  • 13 2
Only the shuttle road is privet, and it's super steep

Doing stunts on a mtb is fun, you're not going all that fast, or endangering anyone. 'Rally' driving as you call it, is dangerous and stupid, especially in a 2 ton 4WD with a high centre of gravity.

Check out dunkertons insta, he just silenced the critics with some drifting outtakes from the vid

Can't imagine anything better than driving my Tundra up to CGP to ride the best place in the world. Should have included R-Dog's truck, but I guess he's a little too American for Toyota BC.

Toyota, the official vehicle of the Islamic state.
  • 1 0
What exact model is that black truck?
  • 4 1
98-2000 Toyota Tacoma. 96-97 Tacomas had square headlights, 01-04's had more of a "cat eye" looking headlight
  • 3 0
well done torero, hats off to you Salute
  • 1 0
 link to r-dogs truck?
  • 3 0
AirBud - Thanks. Great looking vehicle,I actually prefer older 4x4s. torero - luckily Toyota is also the UN's official vehicle..
  • 36 4
Toyota makes the best trucks, costal crew makes the best vids and CGP has the best trails

That's nice taco! 3rd gens still pull close to $10k. I've got a 98 runner w/long travel and supercharger 5spd 4x4(not daiky drvr)...one of the holy grail yotas out there. Fun stuff
  • 2 1
 I've got a 98 4x4 5spd for sale, should I list it for $10k? haha
  • 1 0
@pheller, check ur local craigslist. @8-9k common in Orange County. Stock.
Trd supercharger for 3.4 just sold on ebay for over $3k...3.4 w/5spd uber reliable.
So yes, ur truck is worth good money as long as its good cond/@200k mi or less.
  • 2 2
I don't think there's another vehicle on the planet that holds value like a Tacoma. Honestly, I can't find one less than 15 years old and 150k on the clock for under $10,000.
  • 6 1
 There's a difference between asking price and selling price . . .
  • 5 3
am i the only one who dreams of a Diesel short bed short cab long travel trophy truck. like a 2 seater with 2 1/2 feet of travel and a torquey as hell diesel engine?

i don't like toyota, but i do have respect for tacos.

or think about like an old 1975 f150 ranger (short bed short cab) with a beefed up engine and a long travel kit... hard to imagine but i feel like itd be cool to see
  • 2 1
I like almost everything about my Tacoma except the seating situation. Hard to be a shuttle vehicle when you can really only shuttle two people. Would love to trade my Xtracab for a Quad Cab.

@TFreeman ,I'm totally down with the idea of diesel Trophy truck as long as it isn't lifted stupid. You don't need lift to get travel.
  • 5 2
Many taco owners saying goodbye toyota, hello chevy-Colorado(diesel)
Toyota keeps holding out on the hilux to north America.
  • 6 5
Toyota trucks are OK, if you dont mind the "Toyota"-name surcharge, and you dont really do any serious towing or hauling. Good for the "recreationalist" and getting groceries.
  • 1 1
@TFreeman a 4.2TD GU ute with a comp tray sounds like it's exactly what you're after.
  • 2 1
@riish you mean a 4.2TD Nissan Patrol with a flat bed? Most people in the western world won't know what the hell you were talking about.
  • 1 0
@PHeller straya is part of the western world last I checked. patrols are probably the most-seen car out here once you get into the bush.
something like this:
s1304.photobucket.com/user/bogger101/media/IMG_1640_zps8f3f71f3.jpg.html

is what i was suggesting.
  • 1 0
I said travel not lift hahaha. Get it like an Brenthel Industries kind of set up on a diesel.
  • 1 0
Some King suspension on a long travel setup. Sorry for the double post, on my phone
  • 1 0
It's already been done with a duramax in a chevy. The thing is a pig though, looks like it handles like a brick.

@oregonryder... nailed it. I've been a Toyota driver since 91, anyways ran long travel ifs 4runners... then kinda burned out on Toyota's...then HELLO NISSAN! What's this?? More room? Leather and dvd? Seats 7 riders and all their gear but it's smaller than a full-size!? Wait.... and a 310hp V8?
Yep. And at half the cost. Now we're talking.
  • 2 0
@dirteveryday my thoughts exactly... 2010 Titan for the same price as a 1998 Tacoma? Yes, please.
  • 1 0
thats how I ended up with my T
  • 23 2
Wait a second... I drive a Toyota and can't ride like Vanderham. What gives?
As far as commercials go, that was enjoyable.
  • 7 2
You need to buy a NEW Toyota for that to happen.
  • 3 1
Yeah, every monthly payment you send in, your skills go up 1/32nd of a knotch...until you get to 11.
  • 21 1
 +1 for the SAS'd Tacoma!

Intern was shuttling when i was there, he is a real asset to the team, really did a great job all around.
  • 12 0
Sick. Wheres the back woods video?
  • 8 1
 "Professional MOUNTIAN biker "
  • 8 3
Nice D44 SAS on the black taco. Suprised he didn't go with coilovers instead of leafs. Then again, I see that money went into his bike, as it should.
  • 5 0
I wondered if anyone else would catch the SAS front on the Taco. Nice to see that!
  • 6 0
I love my taco, I love all tacos, I love mt bikes, I love this vid.
  • 5 0
Dunkerton to Vanderham "Hey wanna come shuttle my bike park?"
  • 3 0
Is the rack in the truck bed just a "pallet" style set up? No worries off road?
  • 2 0
Yah they hold up really well if you build the slots deep enough (I'd use at least 2x6 pieces). I'd guess it's also either mounted to the truck or at least built to "friction fit" behind the wheel wells to keep it from shifting while driving.
  • 2 0
Can someone PLEASE find an investor and open a park like this down here in OREGON?! Pretty please!!!!! Can only ride Sandy Ridge so many times a month.....
  • 3 0
I feel ya! Bachelor is the closest thing to CGP but at the same time its not even close. I work at Bachelor and watching videos of parks like this make me sad and want to not listen to how my boss (never built a trail in his life) wants the trails to be built. Some day... Some day...
  • 1 0
Awesome trucks, bikes and trails!! Exactly what i want from a vid!!
Toyota trucks are killer, remember the top gear episode where they tried to murder the hilux?!...enough said.

D's truck is timeless!! I think Toyota needs to do a Coast Crew adventure overland. Love my Taco just need BC to complete it.
  • 3 1
Let's see more of the sweet solid axle conversion on the black Taco...
  • 3 1
Tacomas and bikes! What more could you ask for?
  • 1 0
For some reason I noticed, mountain bikers love tacomas. I got a '11 reg cab 4x. haha I can't carry shit though people wise, fine with me, I don't get asked to shuttle!
  • 1 0
lol Because they are clearly the best Wink Yeh I was in the market for a 2nd gen acess cab but there was a good deal for a double cab with only 13k so I couldnt help it, I had to!
  • 1 0

You are aware of the fact that Jeep also sponsored the Redbull Hardline event, right?
  • 1 0
