With crowds lining the track from start to finish to watch qualifying, the sun shining and the World's best 4X riders started one at a time against the clock to see who would be the fastest ahead of racing on Sunday.
In the women's, it was Natasha Bradley taking the fastest time with a great run crossing the line in a time of 42.019. Vanessa Kager finished 2nd and Michaela Berakova in 3rd. In the men's, it was a perfect return to 4X for 2014 4X ProTour Champion Tomas Slavik. After a whole year away from the sport through illness, Tomas immediately looked back to his old self here today tearing the track apart in a time of 34.289. 2015 4X ProTour Champion, Quentin Derbier finished 2nd with Hannes Slavik in 3rd. Rounding out the top 5 was Felix Beckeman and Scott Beaumont. 64 men qualified and racing is going to be close.
The forecast could certainly come into play for racing. Wind, rain and even snow is possible but whatever happens, you can be sure that the action on the track will be amazing. The scene is set for an awesome race later today,
