Helene Fruhwirth
In the women's, round 1 winner Helene Fruhwirth continued where she left off in Winterberg 2 weeks ago - taking the fastest qualification time ahead of Natasha Bradley and Rebecca Baraona in third.

With the rain starting just before the men qualified the track became pretty slippery, but just like in the women's, it was round 1 winner Quentin Derbier who set the fastest time in qualifying ahead of UK rider Lewis Lacey and 2013 4X World Champion, Joost Wichman in third.

Finals are taking place on Saturday, so be sure to check back for the full results and story tomorrow.

Enjoy the qualification edit from Lars Veenstra.

Of all the events, this is the one I'd be most interested to see an article showing what everyone is riding. Is Helene's bike an old Diamondback Dreamliner or something newer?

Also, what kind of Nicolai is Quentin riding?

It looks like it might even be one of the old Commencals? Or am I wrong?

Helene rides for Alutech Cycles, a small German brand. Her bike is the Alutech D422.
But yeah, I would also like to see bike checks of 4x riders... Smile

@Flo356 Thanks for the link man! At least a few of these beauties. Seems like full suspension even takes a hold in 4x racing.

the bike shes on in the picture and the video is a Commencal Meta 4x. looks to be the 20113/14 frame

@hollowalex Interstingly she rode the Alutech in Winterberg, but you are right, in the picture above she is not riding the Alutech bike...

Maybe she felt the full suspension bike would better suit the weather and track conditions. Alutech doesn't have a full suspension 4x bike.

Did someone take last year's logo and pasted it in the edit or am I in my mind a year ahead again?
  • 2 0
 I definetly noticed that.

Yup, something went wrong there, and we didn't see it on time (deadline pressure). Won't happen again, sorry!

Did anyone else notice that the logo at the beginning of the video said two-thoudand-fourteen?
