Royalfest Festseries

bigquotesI've been going to Royal Hills for a couple of years now, they are close friends and I helped them out a lot with the building of the MX tracks and the bike tracks etc. They kinda let me build whatever I want to build. These lines where just sitting there waiting to be filmed. I built the lines two years ago. We filmed it before but I had some unfinished business with this spot. Last year I made a lot of changes to the line and I added a couple of new features. I really wanted to reshoot the lines and what's a better way to do it than to invite the FEST crew. Riding these lines alone would be boring so I just thought let's turn it into a FEST.

Nico Vink was the guy behind the riding and organizing. The boys had to do some digging to get the jumps running 100% and anything to get that little bit of extra speed was allowed.

KJ gets them wet while the builders prove that size does matter. After a few days digging and chilling around, the jumps looked ready for the guys to sesh.

Vinny Steez got the "Best Style" Award at RoyalFEST. First time at the Fest for Jasper Flashman and he was already throwing down some big moves. Trond G Hansen came back to ride with the crew and did some solid whips.

The lake view made the riding a lot more fun.

It was all about trains with the friends. The top section of the line was more like a DH trail full of jumps!

Makken was all about smiling. Gaetan was the man behind the media, he filmed with 3 cameras and one drone at the same time. Fuelling the machines.

A good thing about Royal Hills is that you never get bored. Gilles was killing it all week showing the guys whats up! He ended up getting the "Royal King" award.

Niko Vink got "Best Line" and was steezing around all week with moves like this "top side nac".

There was no doubt about Sorge getting the "Best Whip" award of the week!

The trophies were insane and they will definitely be hanging on the walls.

Andreu sent that jump wearing flats on clipless pedals. Unreal.
  • 7 0
like flats vs high heels? cause id def take high heels, you know, get that good heel lock on the pedals.
  • 4 0
I prefer to just jam the heel through the pedal. I get the grip and pedaling power I need, but the the style and fashion I want. hahaha

Aside from the standard Legendeguy comment that is compulsory for me on every Fest post I view, this is the other reason I signed in.

Not just for verification, but to see how the comments & votes go. Where are all the no helmet haters now? Ya buncha fvckin' buttnuts!!!! Any time a BMXer is seen not wearing a helmet all the MTB pussies on here piss themselves in a rage fit but a guy sends a 250 lb. MX 60+ feet without one & he's "got massive" balls? Ô.o Can't argue there. Got a tiny brain too.

  • 2 1
Too busy doing the 60'-80' 360's that no one else in this world yet has the balls to do. Except maybe Deegs, Nate Adams & TP, with a motor to get them there & even then it's mighty rare.
