The Chinese/Taiwanese bicycle industry is best described as incestuous. With 3 or 4 different companies claiming to own the factory. I have toured a factory with company A one day. Then the next day, been picked up from my hotel, and toured the exact same factory owned by company B.
I will say though, most are pretty descent, and opens your eyes as you see many famous brands being manufactured side by side.

Review: Mondraker Foxy Carbon XR 29
@vtracer: Not quite correct, Cesar's design studio designed (still does?), the Mondraker, which are made at Astro Engineering in Taichung, who also make a lineup of great "open mould" frames that use this same suspension design. As used by the likes of KTM, CTM etc. UNNO is similar in suspension by the looks (small changes in linkages make a big difference though I know). And he makes his frames literally in the design studio in Barcelona, which is bloody impressive!

@Bahh: You still aren't getting it.
I said exactly what you said. Pre Preg is just getting the raw materials. (Carbon strands, Epoxy) and weaving it, then applying the epoxy. It isn't making the carbon though.

@Tmackstab: Have to give it a listen. WEO , ENVE would source locally I am sure. My point is there is but a handful of factories making raw carbon. Greg LeMond is starting manufacture of carbon here in Aus apparently too. I do a lot with the stuff myself. Mainly automotive these days. Most my material is sourced from France.

@Tmackstab: The materials aren't locally sourced. There are very few manufacturers of raw carbon and same goes for pre preg weaving; isn't much more facilities. so WEO etc and your chinese factories could be using exactly the same materials.
Layup is key though, like you say, 2 rims may look the same and be totally different in regards to strength and ride quality.
Granted, I love what WAO are doing, but to think made in china (or Taiwan) means bad quality is naive. Remember these big factories in Asia have huge advantages in technology, experience and infrastructure. Plenty of dodgy backyarders in Western countries too. (not implying WAO are dodgy)
