Paul Basagoitia MTB Memorabilia Auction
Aaron Chase and Cam Zink with the help of Lindsey Runkel have partnered with the crew at The Pro’s Closet to bring to you the #IRideForPaul Mountain Bike Memorabilia eBay Auction. This is your opportunity to own some unique memorabilia from some of the sport’s top athletes.
The Pro’s Closet auction includes items from riders, Cam Zink, Aaron Chase, Brett Rheeder, Tyler McCaul, Kyle Strait, Remy Metailler, Kurt Sorge, Rachel Throop, Robbie Bourden, and Geoff Gulevich.

All proceeds from the auction will go to benefit pro rider Paul Basagoitia who suffered a burst fracture to his T12 vertebrae during the Red Bull Rampage this past October. His injury has left him partially paralyzed from the waist down. Paul has been at Craig Hospital in Denver, Colorado since early November and is scheduled to head home to Reno with in the next week. He is progressing on a daily basis and his hard work and dedication to his recovery is inspiring to everyone!
| Zink and I wanted to do this auction to help out Paul with the financial burden that comes with an injury of this magnitude. Every little bit helps and people get the chance to own a piece of mountain bike history. So it's a win-win. They aren't usually. Some of the TLD KTM athletes in the US have sold them on for auction (not full RB though, just chin) and cut the straps off. The US RB athletes get fined $10,000 if they lose a hat. Whoever gets that is going to have one awesome product, which they'll have spent a fortune on for a kick ass cause. Win, win, win.

Do you have a source for the $10,000 fine? I've personally known a hand full of Red Bull athletes and have never heard of that rule.
