@likeittacky: So what about privateers putting their lives on the line to try get anywhere near a podium? IMO DH racing was and should always be a sport where elite and non elite racers race and ride together. I raced a BDS at Fort William in 2022, I stopped midway for a rest in practice and Greg Minaar pulls up next to me, says hi then went on his way again. I thought to myself this sport is sick. In no other sport does this happen.

You've got to remember that the very top riders also pushed for this. They wanted a more professional competition with less racers and more money. They've ruined their own sport at the minute.
