Pinkbike Poll: Mountain Biking - What Should it Cost?
Any enthusiast in ANY sport, past time, recreational activity will have a low end and a high end... You can buy a camera for 50USD and a camera for 10,000USD People generally complain about the price of something when they can't afford it... know that sounds kinda obvious, but there will ALWAYS be a market for people willing to pay for the very best stuff, which is why companies make it. If no one bought the most expensive item, companies simply wouldn't make it. Some people will buy the most expensive seats at a football game, some will say why bother when you can watch it on TV. There is an economic (actually a natural law) called the Pareto principle or 80/20 Its why 20% of the countries in the world have 80% of the wealth (strangely the US is one of the 20%) It's why 80% of the taxes paid in the world is paid by just 20% of the population (funnily enough they are the richest too) So seeing that 20% of the mountain biking population will be spend 80% of the money spent on kit, I think there is definitely a good market for some really expensive stuff... My take on this is don't fight it, accept it... buy what you can afford to buy, enjoyment is not necessarily increased by how much you spend... plenty of 2nd hand kit, or stuff on sale that was the "best kit to buy" just a few years ago

Opinion: Mountain Bike Movies - Are You Still Stoked?
I actually think this is the reason why the latest Danny Mac film has had so many views (17.5M views in about 2 weeks!) compared to his Imaginate film (25M views but taken 15months to achieve) the latest film is closer to reality than the tricks, flips and twists of imaginate... yes it still has the odd Danny flip and hop, but the majority is about the adventure of riding/carrying up a mountain that we can all relate to.

Pinkbike Poll: Should Enduro Transfer Stages Be as Tough as Pro XC Climbs?
I genuinely believe the french have got the mix about right... From an outside viewpoint, the french rounds of EWS over the last 2 years have mixed long flowy stages, some steep tech stuff and the right mix of assisted uplift and transfers under your own steam... Obviously the French have been running Enduro races the longest, it might be wise to follow their lead on the structure of a weekends racing?

Spotted: Jared Graves' Yeti SB6c Prototype
Maybe they've improved over the last 2 years... but the SRAM ones I was installing were truly shocking fit... I did think it was me being a muppet fitting them, but got a respected mechanic to fit and still had issues. My main point is that they are probably fine for a 70kilo XC dude, but for a 100kilo guy like me pressing down on the pedals through a few choice hits and heavy landings they shift slightly, and then the bearings eat themselves...

Spotted: Jared Graves' Yeti SB6c Prototype
Please please please please can they put a proper BB shell on the thing and not one of those PressFit things... 2 Years riding a Specialized with PF30... new BB every 2 months 2 Years riding an SB66c Just replaced the BB (cos I was bored rather than it was causing any problems) To say that having a REAL BB is a deciding factor for a 6ft 3 tall 100KG plus rider is an understatement... With my weight a press fit system is ALWAYS gonna move no matter how tight the tolerances... Yeti I beg you to do the right thing... please! I bought the SB66c on the basis of the BB over other brands, don't mess it up now
