Those Who Can, Teach: How to Land the Best Summer Job at Whistler Bike Park
Well said. I have a similar perspective and experience in the coaching/guiding/outfitter industry. Im very thankful for the knowledge I gained throughout that time in my life. That vow of poverty prepared me for a my career in teaching. Good point about the potential legal issues. With these activities come risk and consequences. I had an incident while coaching a team that changed my path. I was in my early 20s and the idea of being found financially responsible for an injury during a training session was far beyond me at that point.

Did CG kiss your sister or something??? What's with the bitterness? CG is one of the most colorful personalities is the mtb tribe and one of the nicest dudes around. Your opinion is noted, and you are certainly entitled to it, but don't be too surprised when people challenge you on it.

Pinkbike Poll: Why Do You Love It?
If I didn't ride, many around me wouldn't like me much because I would be an insufferable a**hole. People might get hurt. Riding is one of those things I can own and have all to myself. It's therapy.

California Enduro Series: Round 1 Battle Born Enduro Recap
Good showcase of the trails on Peavine. Welcome to the desert. I wish I would have had a lighter short travel bike option, but oh well. So it goes. Lost tons of time to a flat repair and some fatigue in stage 4. I just don't get all the negativity coming from people on this one. Met lots of really cool riders at the race. Best of luck to those who are going to China Peak.
