Video: Once Upon a Time in Kirghiztan

This trip has been inspired to me nine years ago from Tribe SportGroup a french company, driven by the pleasure of riding and exploring.

I went there with my Rocky mountain Altitude and also my best friend a great hiker. Lots of zones were impossible to bike, but we could reach it by hiking and camping. It’s allowed us to live the pure nomad mountain experience, meeting the shepherds and their lifestyle. Living in the middle of the ranges, surrounded by over 7 000 meter high mountains, the momentum was built. Sharing in Russian, learning and trying. We ate their food, traditional bread and fermented horse milk and shared stories.




A three week long adventure, deep inside the country. Exploring different zones, Ala Archa, Shamshy and Karakol.

Riding the mountains was an incredible time, out of time and out of this world. The terrain has an alpine look, but because of the size and wilderness, the two worlds cannot be compared! Some days were very hard for me trying to ride in Kirghiztan, thankfully the bike is so reliable. We were always rewarded by incredible landscapes and high mountain riding sensations. I'm sure I will be back there one day, the people are welcoming and honest, the culture is so rich because of middle east and asian influence. This country smells like fresh grass and the simple life.

Kirghiztan is the country to find yourself and meet others.






Each travel inspire another and each day is a chance to do something good. Time runs fast.
