So here I am, it is over a week from Maribor, Slovenia world cup in 4cross and downhill.
I took a few days off and made some nice videos from this event, so you can get a filling how it was.

As you all know, this race was a real mud bath. 4cross practice and qualification were in nice sunny weather, but the situation quickly chaned next day for finals.
Race was on fire, mud was flying and so does the riders in slippery surface.

Two days of world cup is behind, so we move on to downhill. First practice was dry but in the night Mother Nature showed no mercy, heavy rain all nigh and half of the next day. Qualification and training was reschedule for next day...
Next day in Sunday training started at 7.00 in the morning, qualifying round at 9.30, finals at 14.00.

For the final day track was half dry but still slippery, but in the morning of qualifying rounds we were able to see some sun.
After all it was not so bad, at least we colud see some action and interesting results at the end.

Downhill finals


Fabien Barel, winner of UCI World Cup 5 Maribor, Slovenia
I was a little surprised with a results. Fabien Barel won his last WC 3 years ago, and now he did it again in Maribor.
As Gee told in the video, he was just pushing too much so he crashed, and for Peaty I felt sorry, he is a legend and I would realy like to see him won in Maribor, he had a flat tyre for a past two years in Maribor, and now too.
