Follow Lars and Luke Strobel (Evil Bikes) as they set out to make one of the best DH short movies around. This episode features super slow motion shots, pushing bikes uphill, two riders passing each other, putting on helmets and hucking DH style and plenty of HD's.
anyone else notice the blue seals on Lars' TR450? Either he is running the enduro seals or he is running prototype fox seals but they actually look kinda cool. A little big but otherwise nice
Good vid overall. I didn't mind the behind the scenes and funny stuff at all, but would have preferred to see it at the end like a "gag reel". Some great riding there, would have been nice to see it all strung together in a smooth edit.
I though that I may have been harsh in my criticism and decided to do some research into who you are and view the clip a second time. And after watching your other videos on the Transition site, I have to say that my initial critique of this video is spot on (Sorry). All the videos on the transition site (that I watched )were well shot, well edited, well produced and entertaining.
We're all riders here and I don't think anyone that's been around the "scene" needs insight as to what it's like riding with good friends, that's what we all do and love about the sport. Stupid stuff happens on everyone's rides but most of us leave it there because its a "had to be there" kind of thing.
You don't have to be serious but you do have to leave your viewers with a good impression of who you are and what you represent. Until you replied to my post, I had know idea of who you are or your professional resume. I apologize for stating that you are aspiring when in fact your resume is very impressive. But as they say, first impressions are everything and mine of you is not flattering.
TB- I thinks it's called sarcasm. This vid was a blatant jab at the seriousness and stiffness of your "typical" pro videos. They're having fun.....quit being so uptight!! (*maybe go ride your bike?!!)
Great Video! Nice to see pros play around too. Most videos make it seem like everything they do is magic and perfect. Nice to see they have normal riding moments and goof around a bit.
Looking forward to some more instructional vids under the "Lars and Bars" label, which was what my expectations were set to see from the last one, as funny as the d**k pinch scene was you crazy cats
TBH one of the least entertaining clips I've ever suffered through. The riding was good, but the bull sh*t in between is just that; sh*t. Both riders are aspiring to be professional athletes but this video depicts them as a couple of clowns. Neither of these riders have done a good job at representing themselves or the companies that sponsor them. Why does anyone think I'm interested or entertained by footage of you taking a piss or what you had for lunch?
Transition take note; I'm less likely to buy any of your products after watching this.
Why so serious Toonieboy? You my friend missed the point. There are plenty other videos a click away that show pros simply riding their bikes, with mega serious commentary. Maybe you should stick to those? Luke and I have been shredding together since we were am's, and now we both make a decent living via the bicycle. We didn't get here by 'clowning' around too much, or by living our lives so seriously that we've lost perspective. This is a vid that sheds a little insight of what one of our 'rest' days of shredding with a good bud entail. You have every right to your own opinion, I commend you for speaking out.
We'll take note... next vid, extra serious. promise
