Jul 27, 2013Transition Preston FR Medium
$400 USDMedium 2008 Trasition Preston FR white and black frame.
This is a 5 inch travel freeride bike - it is in great condition (only a little dirty). The pivots are all tight and in great shape. I got the frame without a shock and put an older fox vanilla on it and the shock reducers do need to be replaced as there is a little play in the shock mounts (about $20 to fix). The bike can take up to a 7 inch fork and is designed to be able to climb up and descend almost anything.
FRAME FEATURES:
130mm (5") Rear Wheel Travel
6061 Heat Treated Aluminum
Frame Weight: 7.8 lbs (without rear shock)
Complete Bike Weight Range: 36-39 lbs (Depending on Rear Shock and Fork)
Oversize 5mm thick headtube (1 1/8") and gusset
Custom CNC rocker arms (Ultra Stiff 15mm thickness)
Compatible with up to 7" Single Cro wn Forks
Accepts up to 8" Rear Disc Brake Rotors
Easily fits up to 3.0" rear tire
Works with Front Derailleur or Chain Guide
Has an older fox vanilla shock - needs new shock reducers as there is a little play in the connection to the rocker.
Currently installed and included:
Chris King headset
Raceface cranks with 32t chainring
chain guide with bash
Thomson seatpost
If you are interested in the frame and shock only, I'd take 250

$450 USDHaro Steel Reserve 8 custom - $450 obo

Fork: Marzocchi Bomber Z1 CR (old school and awesome, just rebuilt with fresh oil)
Brakes: Hayes Hydraulic (older but work)

Front and rear derailleurs: Shimano Deore (old)

Crankset: Durolux 22,32, with bash (new)

Deep Woods - Where Did the Bikes Go?
I agree that bike companies should get more exposure and I like this article, but I have to point out that the author does a great job of making his own argument for action sports in general when he says Kelly Slater rides for Quicksilver (not Channel Islands surfboards) – that’s like saying Semenuk rides for TLD (not Trek). I wish that it was part of red bulls agenda to promote mountain biking and get more people out riding but that is not what they are trying to do.

Nov 8, 2012? Titus Motolite medium
$400 USDTitus Motolite frame (only) size medium for sale. This is a used frame, but in ok condition, there are chips and scratches, but all cosmetic. This is a super light frame with 4 or 5 inches travel. It comes with a fox rp3 that could probably use a rebuild and a brand new suntour epicon shock with new bushings and spacers. It has a FSA cartridge bearing headset installed and comes with a Thomson seatpost. I bought the frame used and built it up, took it for a couple rides and it's a little too big for me (I'm 5'8" and it would fit someone 5'9" or bigger, or someone with longer legs...)
