This series is really helpful to both better understand how my suspension works and for setting it up. Thanks Steve. I'm have an analogue gauge shock pump without the degree of accuracy to adjust air volume as called for in scenario 2, which I am seeing as the ideal: what scenario am I closest to if I work on achieving 'constant sag' after inserting tokens? I suspect I just need to shell out and get a digital gauge shock pump.

Specialized AFR Shock
$80 USDSpecialized AFR shock taken off a 2007 Specialized Enduro.
Only lightly used before it was changed out to something more linear and descent orientated. It is in great condition.
Been sitting in my spares cupboard but I 've realised that I will never use it and it might be useful to someone trying to source a replacement for this shock.
Eye to eye 200mm
Stroke 57mm
(note the dimensions in a lot of Specialized Enduro manuals were wrong)
