Rocky Mountain Altitude 770 MSL HEAVY UPGRADES Sub 28 Lbs!

$4500 CAD
I want a nice trail bike and a nice road bike. To do that, this has got to go! This bike has been absolutely unbelievable. I am pretty much guaranteed to regret selling it the moment I hand it over! It is a super good pedaler but descends with absolute confidence. I found 140mm to be too small and 160mm to be too big. Much like Goldilocks; the Altitude is juuuust right. Recently cleaned and greased all pivots, the headset and the bottom bracket. TONS of upgrades from the stock model. Weighs in at 27.5 lbs. The stock build can be found here: Here is what has been upgraded: Grips: ODI Ruffian Handlebar: Raceface SixC Stem: Raceface Atlas 50mm Fork: 2014 Rockshox Pike Tires: FR - Maxiss Minion 2.35 RR - Bontrager XR4 2.35 (Both tubelessed) Seat: Bontrager Evoke R (Brand new) Seatpost: Crankbrothers Kronolog Crankset: Raceface Next SL Front Ring: Raceface N/W 30T Chainguide: EINFACHX Guide Rear Wheel: Stans Flow EX rim. Cassette: OneUp 42T Expander Ring Frame has been covered in protective 3M tape.

Pantera.. you are god damn right. Whoever picked this knows what's up. Only suggestion.. Primal Concrete Sledge may have been more appropriate.. with the name and all! I miss the days of metal in videos! Best Soundtrack to a video.. Nowhere Fast.

If you want to argue that people should wear helmets to reduce tax payer medical costs.. then no one should be doing these sports at all as their are many, many other injuries that also incur medical costs. And then if you want to say that a long term mental disability is extremely expensive and something like a broken bone is less expensive.. well various physical disabilities like broken necks and broken backs can also cause long term expenses. I do think people should be wearing helmets, but it's just a poor way to argue for them.

Life After the BC Bike Race
I worked for Rocky during the 2014 BCBR. What a great experience. It was insane to watch the riders go from fresh and fit to lumps of skin covered in bruises and cuts. Everyone who raced in that deserves a medal! When we were in Powell River it was crazy to watch the poor Euros trying to ride NS terrain they had never seen before. Myself and another Rocky guy must have passed 60 or 70 riders when we got out for a ride after the start. They hiked a lot of terrain!

Pinkbike Awards: Highlight of the Year
Go to the front page any day and there will be at least one link to a travelogue, xc/enduro or other article about experiences of riders just like you and I. One poll on epic highlights does not a trend make. While I can appreciate the opportunity for you to get on your soapbox and speak to the purity of the sport and all that.. but get your head in the game.
