Opinion - It Should Be Hard, Shouldn't it?
Totally agree! Mike has a great thing happening in beautiful upper state NY. So fun to ride tough trails with his crew. Be prepared for body and bike beat-down. Looking forward to visit for the 3rd time. So close to Ottawa and Mtl...

Pinkbike Poll: Are You Prepared, or Are You a Parasite?
Riding Porcupine Rim last week we were flagged down by a group of 8 riders or so not too far from the singletrack. The leader/guide seemed like he was a 'rider' wearing a TLD jersey and all. With no extra tubes they had no doubt suffered more flats than a hooker with a Dollar Store boob job. So my buddy gave up one and then tossed back the money he offered. We helped and hopefully that experience will have them preparing better next time.

First Ride: RockShox RS-1 Fork – Carbon, Inverted, Expensive and for 29ers Only
RC writes: "..we believe that the addition of one or two Bottomless Tokens would give the 120-millimeter RS-1 the progressive spring rate it needs to soften its initial travel ..." As the graphs indicate more force is required for the same travel, how can the initital travel get softer?

First Look: ENVE Debuts Four New Carbon Wheels
Big prices & then an upcharge for colored decals? Yes they are clearly catering to well to do customers. All the more room and motivation for credible competition at a lower price point!

Specialized Go 650B
Pretty poor marketing attitude "For us this isn't big deal ...". So kicking and screaming we'll make some 650Bs even though we really don't want to - big "siggghhhhhhh" from Sebastian.

Intense Tracer 275 Carbon - Review
Agreed, can always build from the frame up too. Note that Kovarik is driving the top model and isn't wearing gloves.... no money left over!

California Dreaming: DVO Test Sessions
DVO is the ticket. I've got a Zokes 66 RCV 2006 which they must've designed. Phoned Marz (Naz) in N.Van about service and he said just ride the bike, change the oil and keep'r clean. And that was 2 years ago ... fork still ROCKS. Rides more enjoyable with reliable designs and performance who wouldn't want that?

To the Point - Kirk Pacenti on 27.5-inch Wheels
Yeah right go out and buy every time a new "standard" shows up? Sorta like the latest smartphone each quarter. I've ridden 650 and it's pretty cool and intuitive, but I'll ride on until my 26er breaks or the suspension is toast. Perhaps those on the silly servants payroll or pro deal can shop so often!
