Nevados de Chillan Bike Park, the place for the EWS first round on April 2014
December 13 and 14 was the last round of Open Shimano Latam Round 3 in Nevados de Chillan Bike Park, Chile.
This is the last race supported by Shimano Latin America and riders from Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru showed up for the last race of the season.
Two chairlifts this time to get the top in a 3 minutes course
This last course finished with a variety of terrain. We started at Brazil with grippy terrain, then in Argentina with a full rock terrain and finish in Chile with full dust terrain.
The Andes mountains, beautiful landscapes you can find here in South America.

On Friday qualify (except PRO), the junior Chilean rider, Gustavo Ortiz get the fastest time of the day, and gave us a parameter of what we can expect on finals.
Jorge Monzon (CHI)
On Saturday, and after two days, the course was destroyed for the rider’s runs.
The Argentinian pro rider and after his return of Europe, Pablo Seewald, was the fastest in the pro qualifiers.
After beginning pro rankings were given to other categories as usual on a date Open Shimano races.
In the youngest category, the rider Valentin Ricca takes the first place of the championship.
The South American legend Felipe Vasquez did his job and wins this time, but Juanjo Valverde who participated in the all rounds, wins his first Latin-American championship in the Master B category.
In the Master A2 category, wins Gonzalo Rodriguez, followed by Christian Lopez Jove who gets the points necessary for take the first place of the championship.
The Brazilian Leandro Bonfante wins again and gets the crown on Master A1 category.
In the Cadets category, the Argentinian Jeronimo Paez flying on this bike, and take the first place of the day and the championship.
The Elite rider Javier Tagle (CHI), get some point with his first place but not enough because Marco Zanini with his third place became the champion this year.
Andrea Farias (CHI)
The ladies had an unstoppable Camila Nogueira (ARG) who takes revenge against Diana Maggraff (ECU) who wins the second round in Argentina. With the win, the young rider from Team Zenith handed her to win the Open Championship Shimano Latam, accompanied by her partner team Diana Maggraff and in third place was Andrea Farias (CHI).
Gustavo Ortiz (CHI)
After three rounds, the junior category was the main spectacle, the Pan-American champion Lucas de Borba (BRA) and Gustavo Ortiz (CHI) was separated by 5 points in the overall. Finally, the winner was Gustavo, followed by Lucas and in third place was the Brazilian rider Junior Felix.

The pro category was the category with more riders, Argentina, Brazil and Chile fight for the points and USD 2000 in prizes.
Pablo Seewald (ARG)
Pablo Seewald (ARG) get less time from his qualify, but not enough for beat a stronger and local Enrique Genova (CHI) who take the second place by a few thousandths of a second.
Mauricio Acuna (CHI)
Mauricio Acuna was unbeatable and was the best time of the day for more than 6 seconds from his closest follower. With this result, he almost closes a perfect year with the Pan-American Championship, The Argentinian and the Latin-American Open Shimano series.

The first year of the Open Shimano Latam has ended, but the crew is already working for the 2014 season that begins on February 1 and 2, in Bariloche Argentina.
