The Whistler Mountain Bike Park is opening on May 17 with the most opening day terrain ever. Ideal early-summer conditions allowed for almost all of the snow to melt in the Fitzsimmons Zone before the Trail Crew came in. The crew has spent the past week cleaning up, fixing some features and most importantly buffing the trails to have almost everything good to go for this Friday.
The official trail list to open on May 17 will be confirmed the day before, but riders can expect A-Line, B-Line, Crank-it-Up, Ninja Cougar, Karate Monkey and even Crabapple Hits be open.
Alongside Goldstein Productions, the Whistler Mountain Bike Park Team spent the past weekend filming for the first video of the season and were blown away with how everything was riding.
Along with getting the Park open, the crew at GIANT Bicycles and SRAM, Rockshox, Avid, Truvativ have been assembling a brand new fleet of custom Whistler Mountain Bike Park GIANT Glory's. Almost too many to count.
Dispite only shooting for 2 days actually in the Park, Goldstein Productions has been shooting for close to 3 weeks planning and capturing the rest.
So you'd better make it this Friday May 17 for the 2013 opening of the Whistler Mountain Bike Park. Fitzsimmons Express starts turning at 10am and will run to 5pm daily.
