Can someone who is a better photographer than me help me out here. I have just taken a look at the photos and as of Friday Sep 27th 11 am Japan time, the photo with the most votes is the one in the centre on the bottom line (Upper Blue Velvet maybe). Now, I look at that photo's colour balance and think there have been some serious filters and effects applied to that photo to come up with that. If it is where I think it is on Blue Velvet, you are not going to ever get trees that green!

For the most part the shot looks as though it was edited on the computer. For instance many editing programs like Adobe Photoshop contain many different tools that you can select a certain portion or color scheme in the shot to adjust, in this case the trees. By using the Selective Color tool in Photoshop you can make the green colors of the trees to look greener or abnormal to nature. Most filters dont mess with specific colors rather than light fluctuations that enter the camera. Although filter do play a key roll in acheiving a good shot.

That one that winning definitely looks like a long-ish lens photo that was edited on a computer and then submitted into this contest via instagram. I'm not sure what all the rules are, but seems a little wack. Anyways, my vote goes to the golden no-hander on crabapple wooo! Brings me back to Summer sessions on that line, epic.

Not entirely. It is already acceptable to start sentences with such conjunctions. Some authorities, in fact, even defend that for some cases conjunctions will do a better job than more formal constructions.

We'll admit darkmuncan that the voting system isn't the greatest but I can tell that you can only vote for a photo once. You can vote for multiple photos but only once per photo.
