Kye Forte has spent his life riding and competing in BMX earning him Red Bull sponsorship, the 2005 World Champs title, Guinness World Record High Jump title and heaps of other 20” titles. He's the creator of the Red Bull Empire of Dirt competition and has done more on a BMX than most riders could even dream of.
He has always ridden big bikes but stepped up his game in 2013 to race the British Downhill series, scoring a 2nd at Fort William and 3rd at Combe Sydenham. Kye aims to race more events in 2014 and to learn from his new mates on the Wideopenmag team who will help him to go faster.
Kye also has big plans for a series of top quality video edits that will be supported by Red Bull. He is currently working flat-out with a mini-digger to build a dream track that is worthy of hitting on his Nukeproof Pulse DH bike. Once that's done, he aims to shoot a more pedally all mountain edit on his Mega.
"My plans for 2014 are to get top 3 results at the British Downhill Series and to make some sick videos on the downhill bike and promote the Widepenmag team. I want to show people that I’m serious about this mountain bike lark! I'll continue to ride BMX and represent my sponsors that support me. I just want to ride as much as possible and keep improving and learning, even though I am in Masters!"You can see Kye and the rest of the team race at the 1st British Downhill Series race of the year at Antur Stiniog on 29/30th March 2014.
