OneUp Announces New Small Composite Pedal
I run Wellgo C006 pedals - they are tiny, but very grippy, and very light, 198 grams for the pair. Never had a problem with my feet coming off. Everybody I ride with freaks out at the size, but hey, they work for me. Pretty damn durable too, I hit a lot of roots in corners when I go in too hard, and they are still good. Got almost 6000 miles on one set. Very inexpensive on ebay, about 25-30 dollars a set. I don't think Wellgo has distribution over here and ebay is just about the only place to find them.

Shimano Patent Shows Direct Mount Electronic Derailleur
I thought the hanger was supposed to be a "safety valve" to make sure the frame and deraileur were not destroyed in a crash; a sacrificial part, low dollars. You take that away and it costs you a frame or deraileur? No thank you.

Opinion: Why Weight Doesn't Matter
@Mntneer: everything is relative - 950 grams for the ardent vs 650 grams for the rocket ron and a lot more rolling resistance for the ardent. But the ardent is a lightweight when compared to a downhill tire I reckon.

Opinion: Why Weight Doesn't Matter
Maybe weight does not matter if you are a downhiller, but us folk down here in flat land like light weight and good rolling tires. Tried some Ardents (heavy, slow rolling) as a winter tire and it made me much slower. Was not nearly as much fun riding. Sticking with Rocket Ron
