Practice Makes Perfect, Right? FrostBike 2014
Ski resort that is considering opening up a little used side of the hill to bikes during winter. It was a killer time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3q-n1btj_4&feature=youtu.be

To the Point: Torque Specifications
Park tool has torque value list on their page. http://www.parktool.com/blog/repair-help/torque-specifications-and-concepts For those working in a bike shop: it is always nice when a piece breaks when using a torque wrench. Had a crank arm snap near the bolt at 8Nm that was rated at 12-14Nm. Called to warranty without hesitation. Company claimed they had never heard of that happening before, but you cannot argue with the torque wrench.

Fat Bike? Seriously?
Bike-curious: a person that is content with riding their bicycle less that 12 months out of the year. Fat bikes are for the truly passionate weirdos that don't want to give up the mountains to the snow. (Seems like the author of the article is bike-curious). Next time ride a bike in its element before you critique it.

30.9mm. 100mm travel. Bought this brand spank'n new at the beginning of the year. Sold the bike that the seat post fits in. Seriously used it on about 5 rides. Never wrecked with it on. Works just like new. No scratches, dents, dings, or dingle berries. Paypal only.

2012 Specialized Enduro Comp 17" (Medium). Bought this bike thinking that it was what I would need for this year. I was wrong. The bike was in reality ridden 5 times. Professionally maintained- always babied. I didn't even ride it enough to crash on it. Shipped to the lower 48 only. Specs listed here: http://www.specialized.com/us/en/bikes/archive/2012/enduro/endurocomp#specs

17.5" 2012 Trek Superfly AL Elite. Great bike. It's just that time of year where I sell this years bike for next years bike. Maintained professionally. Cleaned and lubed regularly. Minor blemishes, but in great working order. If you're looking for one of the best XC bikes, this is it. I would regularly forget that I was riding a 29'er because the geometry is so dialed. Here's the link to the Trek website with all the specs. Shipped to lower 48 only. http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes/2012/archive/superfly_al_elite

Pinkbike Product Picks
As a bike mechanic I can say that with Avid it's like Russian Roulette- Some of the brakes magically align on the first try. Many of them take a fair amount of time to get dialed in. When finished they feel solid, but the work to get rid of the rubbing noise and get the pull on the levers to be even on both sides can take up half of the time in a build. In the long run, every other brand comes out of the box feeling more consistant (including tektro).
