Hall of fame from the Thursday's qualis ready to drop in and dominate the FISE's Slopestyle competition.
Franck Paulin teased the public with his enormous super-seater. Not bad for such a young rider!
We need more backflips on hander x-ups in the dirt game! Mr. Granieri showing us how it should be done.
Swedes are riding together, winning together and partying together!
Thomas getting upside down in his first run.
Massive trick on an equal booter! Szymon Godziek caught while clicking a superman.
Pretty much a signature move from the Polish shredder.
Did you get it?
Martin is back on the stairs for winning contests.
All top three riders pulled the same trick from the starting tower. If its big and narrow you should barspin it/
The spinning Hungarian spotted in his natural environment.
270 on a hip over the blue sky from Anton.
Old school is the news chool now. Great rocket barspin from the young Canadian.
Casual flipwhip from the "Cleanlander"
Szymon Godziek brings FMX style to the MTB and we pretty much love it.
Style for miles from Martin.
Good to have you back Mr. Soderstrom. You were missed!
High fives from the Swedish giant.
Louis Reboul, the only true Frenchman in the super final has some timeless style. This cannon-ball is no exception.
Nobody would have expected the double backflip during the contest but here it is, straight from the Franck Paulin. Well, it's FISE so a lot of crazy things happen daily/
What used to be a game changer now is a routine. Flip whips for the Queen!
Fist bumps after a solid run from Mr. Reynolds
Looks like the "no smile" face is typical for the winners.
Clicked 360 on a hip from Mr. Genon.
Szymon was on a hot seat for a long time but finally he did not enter the super final and placed on a not so bad 7th spot.
Frenchies got some VIP cheering from their own spectators and did not disappoint them.
Massive flipwhip from the Yannick.
One of the few locals here and the only one to pull a gnarly frontflip on a step-up on which most of the riders cased their back wheel.
Even the simple barspin from that drop was a hard one. Thomas giving it a try.
Simon did a splendid run and turned more than a few heads during the tricks like this lovely 360 whip.
"I should buy a boat" face from the young Brit during a spectator inspection.
Looks like the spicy food has it downsides the day after.
Reece Wallace spinning both ways in front of the rowdy crowds.
The Hungarian's time is yet to come, but Oskar knows how to spin both ways so we think it is just a matter of weeks until he will dominate the contests.
Whistler's native, Mr. Wallace was shredding the track for a whole day but missed his chance to stand on the podium with a nasty crash on the booter.
360 double tailwhip on the last jump from the "I was riding for a just one month before the contest" Martin.
After his first final run Anton gave up on pushing his limits and safely stayed on the 3rd position. Here is a nicely executed truck driver from him.
Flip no-hander to the 360 super seater from the winner himself.
"La Frite" ended his run with a lovely scrub that stated his position among the riders. Dropping in for the already won contest must feel like digging through Belgian's fries on munchies.
Martin flipwhipping the last set in his run for the 2nd spot of the evening.
The Swedish king is back after his horrible crash and a long road back to the saddle. The crowd was on his side every time he dropped in.
The ruler of the weekend so far! Commitment, creativity and pushing the boundaries are the best words to sum up Thomas.
Congrats to all the riders that showed up and slayed this tricky course. See you next year/

Coverage was really bad, as it is for each french event. Same with putting someone who doesn't know about mtb and can't speak english on live commentary, as always. A shame for such a big event.
Thanks Pinkbike for the photos !
Every year, the same guy who know nothing about the dirt/slopestyle tricks and can't speak english, is on the live. WHY ?! We can't pass for serious guys in France with this man... Please put him out of the dirt comp.
French is harder than English, we start learning English when we are just children à school, and it's his job... So thankfully he wasn't so so so bad...
yeh the commentator is so bad on the live and the competition one, he repeats the same thing because that's all he can say and he doesn't know half the tricks, he didn't even know whip nacs existed when i did it in my run
He does but his Bos forks got destroyed in his crash so he borrowed a pair from Yannick apparently, and there not the dj pikes. You can see the pikes have a completely different design.
No Sam no messirie. No reheder and no seminuk. No dude whos name im foreting that rides for yt.... at least gennon is holding down the fort. And I know sam and anthony didnt qualify. but for reals the compition aint the same with out em.
Szymon Godziek and Oszkar Nagy are what is exciting to watch right now without all the "big guns". Where will they be in the mix when the Diamond events start? And lets hope for clean runs for Messirie this year. I want to see different riders gunning for the top spot progressing the sport even further.
Messirie doesnt get enough credit for never playing it safe. he rarely gets clean runs cause he always goes big . he will eventually tranistion more to big mountain
Yea, he might win some diamond events this year. As long as he is focused. He gets so much vertical it's so fun to watch. He will sooner or later stomp down a super run, one for the record books. It's bound to happen.
